What's more valuable: A man's pride or his woman's security?

A lot of men don't want to let their woman know certain things for fear of losing her respect. This is especially true if the thing they're keeping secret is something that could potentially impact the relationship negatively in some way. Men often feel that their pride should be more important than the well-being of their partner, but this isn't always a wise decision. Sometimes it's better to get over your ego and reveal what you've been hiding from your lady because she will probably be more understanding and accepting when you decide to do so.
Women have a reputation for being "catty" because they tend to talk a lot, but that doesn't mean they are always bad gossips. In fact, if you want to get something off your chest, you can always turn to a woman to talk it out with you. Ladies tend to recognize the fact that not all of a man's faults are things that should be hidden from his lover and will be more than willing to discuss whatever it is that's on your mind. Since men aren't conditioned for this type of discussion, most of them simply tell the woman what she wants to hear and brush it under the rug instead of facing his problems head-on.
Men don't go to their female counterparts to vent their frustrations because they fear being judged in some way. They want to be able to trust that their female counterpart won't make him look like an idiot and will be willing to listen to what he has to say. If a man is taking care of his problems before they get the chance to become serious, then you can bet that she will be more likely to stay with him until the problem is resolved. Women are not bothered by just a little nagging about a problem, but men think that if nothing comes of it other than a momentary annoyance, then it isn't worth discussing in the first place.
Men like to keep the ladies guessing when it comes to their sexual orientation. Most men are in denial about the fact that they enjoy being with other men and they don't even want other people to know this. There's nothing wrong with a man wanting to fall asleep next to his honey in her arms and wake up next to a handsome man in his bed. In most cases, feminine men continue this type of relationship for all kinds of reasons, but there are always far more male lovers than female. This is something that many women might find annoying, but it's not an issue at all for the masculine partner since he isn't trying to hide anything from her in the first place.
Women are especially sensitive when it comes to relationships and they rely on the men in their lives to be as open and honest about everything as possible. They want to know that the man loves them for who they are and not for what he can get from them. They want him to be proud of who he is inside and out and will leave him if he isn't able to accept anything about himself. Women are more than happy to let a man go through his changes when he lets her in on them, but this type of conversation will never happen if a guy has something or someone else that keeps him from being himself around his woman.
