Fear is caused by two main things: the unknown and our imagination. Instead of focusing on the fear, we need to focus on the solution. By focusing on what we hope for and expect instead of fearing something bad will happen, we can get rid of the fear altogether! This is called reframing fear by looking at it from a different perspective.
Here are the steps you can use to overcome your fear of something you have been fearing for a long time:
Step 1: Identify Your Fear
The first step is to identify what it is that you are afraid of. If you aren't sure, then figure out some possible things you could be afraid of. Make a list of each fear and what causes it. Also write down how you feel when you're in that situation or how it makes you feel. This will make it easier for step two!
Step 2: Uncover The Real Fear
Now we will uncover the real reason why we're afraid of the situation or object we've put on our list in Step 1. The first thing we need to figure out are any irrational beliefs or emotions that cause our fear. If we know what is causing the fear, we can work on those things instead.
