"Age New Spirituality – Inspirational Stories (Part 88)"

The power of positive thinking is without question, and we’ve seen many examples in our posts. Today, we have another powerful one to share with you.
This story begins with a young girl named Marlee who had a rare form of childhood cancer. In her case, she was able to survive and live a happy life because of the doctors at Johns Hopkins Hospital. They are an example of those that are dedicated to making the world better for our children and for all those around them.
The doctors at Johns Hopkins are also known for their commitment on using the power of positive thinking to help patients heal. As a result, they’re able to inspire hope and confidence in their patients and make a difference in their lives and the world around them.
When Marlee was only three years old, she was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric cancer, known as medulloblastoma. This type of cancer typically occurs in one or two year olds. She underwent two brain surgeries, one at Hopkins when she was three years old and another when she was 16 years old. Marlee lived with these health issues in her childhood, but that has not been her only challenge.
At age 13, she was exposed to a very traumatic event that caused her to have PTSD. The experience left her often in tears and brought back memories of the cancer and the trauma she had experienced at a young age.
She experienced several more traumatizing events after high school. Some were related to domestic abuse and others were related to sexual assault. Nothing that Marlee experienced took away from her belief in God or the power of positive thinking, which is why she credits God with helping her through all of this.
She is now 27 years old, married and mother to two beautiful children . She has been able to overcome her challenges and is now dedicated to helping others by using the power of positive thinking.
As she said, "I am grateful for my mother's faith in God, and I am also grateful for Johns Hopkins doctors Saving my life when I was three…Some people say that things happen for a reason, but I say that God must be getting a good laugh at how everybody is always trying to be perfect…We all have our ups and downs in life. That's what makes us human."
Marlee herself has experienced some of the worst tragedies in her life, but she has used her negative experiences to become one of the most determined women we have ever met. The power of positive thinking has been a very important part of her life, and she is now using that knowledge to inspire others.
Stay tuned for more amazing stories, and share this story with anyone who would benefit from the power of positive thinking. We often say that everything happens for a reason. Maybe we all just need to get our minds right and start believing in miracles again!
