Boost Your Self-Confidence: 9 Easy Hints

Do you ever find yourself doubting your self-worth?

Does lack of confidence keep you from dashing out into the world?

If so, then this article is for you. Check out these nine easy hints that will help you boost your confidence. From taking good care of yourself to knowing where to go to meet new people — everything is covered!

    1) Be kind and healthy: Treating others well will reinforce your own self-esteem a lot more than what we immediately realize. For example, one study found that high emotional intelligence showed up in a regular person 3 years ahead of their IQ score (which was an indication of lifetime achievement).

Being healthy, while not necessarily a sign of intelligence, shows that you are eating right and exercising, which is far more important than one could imagine (it's no wonder why some people call exercise "medicine"). If you're healthy and active, take pride in it. Take care of yourself. It'll boost your self-confidence quickly.
Sleeping well helps too! If you have trouble sleeping and the quality of your sleep has suffered for it, then introducing a supplement called Sleep LZ at night will help you get better sleep during the night.

2) Be clean and dress well: Washing well and getting a haircut can help boost your self-confidence. It boosts your confidence because you know you look good. You've taken the time to look after yourself and it makes a difference in how you feel and what people think of you.
3) Be generous – giving is one of the secrets to happiness: The human body is wired to give (we were social creatures long before we were hunters). When we give, we get so much more back than what we give away. So, please be generous and selfless in whatever you do.
4) Be professional – you're a business professional: If you're aiming to be a nurse, doctor or architect. Then have a professional appearance that reflects your future aspirations and the kinds of people who will be interested in hiring you. A professional appearance never hurts (so don't have an embarrassingly messy office).
5) Be alert: Bathe, shower and condition your hair at least once every day. This will build confidence because you are taking care of yourself as part of your daily routine.
6) Be cheerful – stay positive: If there's one thing everyone knows about happiness, it's that "the secret is happiness. Happy people are the luckiest and most successful people in the world." This is one of the secrets of success. We're not really sure why it is. But, happiness is infectious. It makes others want to be around you and like you.
7) Be in love – and not just in love: The happiest people on Earth are usually those who have a partner to share your life with (if possible a best friend, soul mate and lover). Having a loving companion makes you more confident because you have someone to rely on/talk to/share with (a wise man once said that "happiness is having someone to love who loves you back").
8) Be positive: What makes you happy is what matters. It doesn't matter what other people are doing, what party they're at or what they might say about you. It's about your own happiness – your self-esteem is based on that.
9) Be grateful: There is so much to be thankful for and that's one of the secrets to happiness. Think back at the good things in life and appreciate them.
So, those are the tips that can boost your confidence safely! I hope these tips will help you feel better and more confident in yourself!
Good luck with boosting your self-esteem with these simple tips!

Hello Yuki, Just a quick point of order ... the photo is Japanese (which is why I think the headline claims that it's a collection of Japanese secrets) ... the information is good though and you can apply it to any country :))

I'm so glad someone else has a sense of humor about articles like these. Yes, it's true that many people don't know how to care for their hair properly. I'm a fellow baldy, and I can tell you first hand that it definitely does help to shower and put on some decent makeup. I've been self conscious about my hair for years, and no longer am I. Wear what makes you feel good, wear what makes you look better. If you're insecure about your appearance, why are you wasting time on the internet looking at article like this?

Hi Yuki! I thought your article was great! My name is Noemi and I am 25 years old. I'm a researcher and live in Germany. Although I am Eurasian, my mother is from Mexico and I've been learning Spanish for almost 5 years now. I'm still struggling to get the hang of it though. Since last year I spend a lot of time translating Spanish articles into English for a freelance writing company (I hope this doesn't sound too weird). Because my English isn't that good yet, and because I really love to read about grammar mistakes, even the same ones over and over again, I usually enjoy articles that are kind of cute or have some sort of typo in them (thank you so much for writing this article! <3) :)
I would like to learn Japanese next year in Japan (I'm planning on going to Japan as an exchange student). Because my Spanish is really bad and because I really want to improve my reading skills in Spanish, I sent an email to this blog site. Do you think learning Japanese as well is a good idea? Well, here's my email: [email protected]
I also posted this email on your Facebook wall [http://www.facebook.com/protocoloinglobal] so it would be great if you could answer one of these questions: Would learning Japanese be good for me? Should I start now (I'll get a work visa in February) or wait until next year? THANKS
P.S.

Conclusion
That's it! I hope you've enjoyed my post and that you learned some new tips on how to boost your self-esteem. This will also be helpful for women who need tips about how to improve their confidence at work, for young girls who need advice about how to build self-confidence, and for people who are trying to improve their speaking skills. Trust me when I say that most people in the world want confidence! So, it's our job as language learners (and especially native speakers) to give them the tools they need so they can feel better about themselves in a foreign land.
