Control Anger With Hypnosis
Hypnosis can help you with anger management.
If you are tired of being angry, try hypnosis. It breaks the cycle of your angry thoughts, feelings and behaviors and replaces them with more positive feelings and thoughts. Hypnosis is inexpensive, can be done in a short period of time and has been developed by experts. If it works for an event like childbirth or quitting smoking it should work to manage anger too!
The trick to success is consistency before results show up so make sure you're committed to doing at least 1 session a week for six weeks straight before deciding if this therapy isn't right for you.

Comments: I have been hypnosed 3 times now. The first time I had to be talked into it because they couldn't get me to do it on my own. I just didn't understand the possibilities and that gave a nudge in the direction of trying it out. It really works if you let them do their thing, but you have to be willing. When the hypnotist does his thing he will start guiding you where he wants to go. If you are not willing to follow him, then you are set off track by your own thoughts.... they want the focus on them and they will dig and dig until they get it. They will say things that make you think outside the box and see it in a different light or direction. The next two times I was at parties where there was a hypnotist. Being a little tipsy(drunk) I was willing to let go of my conscious control and give it up to something else to control me...lol. It's not dangerous or harmful as long as you let go and trust. You don't have to give them complete control over your life...just enough to get to the end result you want. I have been able to control my smoking with this. I am no longer a pot head at parties. In fact I am mostly sober now because of it. The last time I was hypnotized, he even re-programmed my mind to sleep over 6 hours a night instead of just getting to 3 or 4.... which is not good for me because I'm an insomniac.... When you read up on it and actually see how it works and what the results are then you'll see the benefit yourself. You can use the same thing in reverse if you want...say you need to sleep over 6 hours a night so this can put you under and keep you there until the time is up. You are putting yourself into a deep sleep and your conscious mind isn't doing any of the work...just letting the hypnotist do his thing. If you allow it, your body will do what it needs to do and if it's a good idea, then it will be reinforced in your mind. That's when you get the results....some of them anyway....lol...you have to be willing to let go of control for this to work for you. When you are in the state of mind that your conscious mind is "off" and the hypnotist has control, they will often start talking to you as if they were a parent or guardian. Just let it be because what they are going to say makes more sense than what your conscious mind is telling you...lol. They will reinforce the good things in your life and talk about the bad ones and how to get rid of them by showing you other ways to get rid of them...lol....here's a twist....if you just let go, then there are no bad thoughts or feelings....you just exist because that's all there is for a hypnotist to focus on.....the moment by moment experience.....there are no worries, regrets or guilt....if you just let it be and do what they suggest. So the suggestion is to let go of all worries, regrets and guilt...that is not bad because you are just pushing them aside to get to the new and better things that you want. Comments: I wanted to share a positive experience I had with hypnosis for managing anger. I made an appointment with a local hypnotherapist. She was very sweet and she knew her stuff. Before we began she had me fill out a short questionnaire on pain management and allergies (if there were any). Then she asked me what I wanted to work on. I told her primarily I wanted help with anger management and a secondary issue of smoking. We worked on the anger issue first and it was immediate. It took all of eight minutes. Then we moved onto the smoking topic and after another eight minutes I had no desire to smoke ever again! Keep in mind, this was done several years ago now and to this day I have not smoked another cigarette in my life! Even when people around me are smoking, which is often, the smell doesn't bother me at all anymore...I just don't even want it. In fact, anytime someone is smoking around me and takes a drag, it costs them $5 immediately...lol. The best part is none of this would have happened if I hadn't made the appointment. Every once in a while someone will ask me if hypnosis works and I tell them "all your actions are based on your thoughts" and that is correct for hypnosis as well. So in my case, the hypnotist was able to point out some of the things that were going on with me that were causing the anger and how I could begin to work on them instead of just letting anger build up inside me like an empty bucket or pressure cooker that never gets to release its steam because you never allowed it to.... Your subconscious mind will keep working at it until you let go and allow it do its thing...lol. Now I make sure to let go of the anger when it comes up and I just look at it and say, "you are not a bad guy, you are just angry. You will get over it." In other words, the reason for the anger is that you don't want to deal with something. You don't want to think about something or face something so you just fill up that bucket of anger and ignore it...lol. Just let your subconscious mind do its thing for you so that all of this energy can be released or used in some productive way instead of just being stored up inside until one day it has a release valve like an explosion or volcano eruption. It works like a charm...lol...it's wonderful...
Conclusion: Hypnotism can be a powerful tool when used correctly. It has a wide range of applications and it should be explored by all. Posted by: NightChild at March 17, 2009 5:50 PM

Hypnosis is only effective when you have faith that it will work. If you don't have faith in it, you will sabotage yourself. You are not just letting go of conscious control...you are also telling your conscious mind to stop interfering with the hypnotism process by distracting or pestering your hypnotist.
