How To Create Irresistible Curiosity With Rapport Hooks Using Hypnosis

This article will teach you the power of rapport hooks and how to design them to make your listeners want to know more.

What is a Rapport Hook? A rapport hook is a sentence, phrase, or word that stands out from the rest of the content on your blog post and makes someone curious about what comes next. These little jolts of curiosity are called “rapport hooks” because they have a way of grabbing hold and drawing in our readers, making them eager for more.

Okay, you say, I've read thousands of blog posts and I've never felt compelled to read on. Why should I start now?

The answer is because your audience is different. These aren't just words on a page any more. These are the words you have carefully crafted to draw in your ideal client and give them a glimpse at what they're missing… and what you can do for them.

Your audience cares about your feelings, opinions, experiences and expertise—but they care even more about their own desires. You want to know what they need most, don't you? Of course you do! And it's the same for your readers. They care about what your blog post is about, but they also want to know what you can do for them.

If your post doesn't have a hook, nothing will ever get read. It's that simple. No one will click on the link in your email or call you to set up a consultation if they don't even know what the post is about! They need to know if it's something they'd actually be interested in reading, or just some Internet fluff you hope to impress people with.

All right—how do I create a rapport hook?

It's easy! You'll be amazed at how easy it is and how quickly these hooks can capture your audience's attention.

Here's how you do it:

Step #1: Find out what your readers want to know about.

Before you write a single word, think about who's reading. Everyone is different—they have different goals, needs and desires. They may be in totally different stages of their lives, and that affects the way they think and act.

As soon as you know what your readers are looking for, you can begin to design your hooks so that each one is tailored to a specific pain or problem. That's how you capture their attention and make them want to read on!

Step #2: Make sure it's something they'll enjoy learning about.

Once you have a handle on your readers' desires, think about how they're going to feel when they get the answers.

You want to give them a sense of relief when they read your blog post.

The worst thing you can do is put them on edge or make them feel uncomfortable—you want to make them feel good about themselves and excited about what's possible.

Step #3: Craft a quick, easy-to-read hook that uses their problems as a jumping off point.

Once you have a basic grasp of what they want to hear, think of how you can use that information to get them excited about the possibilities.

Remember, you aren't trying to sell them anything yet. If you were, the hook would be a lot more direct and specific! You'd be telling them exactly what they need to do, with a guarantee and all the reasons they should listen to you.

Instead, all you're doing is offering them a snippet of what's in store further down in your post.

Think of it as the first bite of a yummy dessert.

You're using their own thoughts, fears and desires as the perfect lead-in to what you're going to say next. You aren't promising them anything yet, so there aren't any expectations. But they'll be curious because they want what you have to offer… and they know you're going to give it to them!

Step #4: Make sure that the curiosity comes from something real, not some bogus marketing tactic.

If your hook is too vague or too insincere, people will feel tricked and deceived instead of intrigued.

Your job is to make them feel like you understand them and that you have a real, genuine desire to help them. Don't just tell them how great you are or what their problems are—show them!

You're going to do this in two ways:

A: Tell them how you felt when you had their problem.

B: Tell them why it's so important that they read on.

Remember: You want your readers to know that you've been there, too. You understand their pain and frustrations, and you want them to feel like you're one of the only people who can help solve their problems.

It's another way of saying, "I'm the person who understands what you're going through. I've gone through it too, and I know that… "

Step #5: Grab attention with a strong call-to-action.

That's another technique that will give them chills up and down their spine.

Let's say your readers are frustrated with their finances—but they don't know where to start in looking for a solution. Your post is all about their money problems and how to solve them with hypnosis… but you're not actually telling them that!

Instead, you're hinting at it with a single sentence: "You'll never have to worry about money again when you learn how to tap into your subconscious mind and discover the secrets of the universe."

Isn't that enough to get them clicking?

No one wants to live paycheck-to-paycheck. We all know that's a way of life for people who don't know how to manage their money. It's an uncomfortable reality—but it's also one no one wants.

Conclusion

The world has changed so much since my first book, The Total Money Makeover, came out in 2003.

We now have the Internet to handle all of our financial needs, and we can search for exactly what we want instead of having to go to a store—if we even have a store anymore.

This means that there is a huge market for those who know how to create content that attracts attention.

Now is the time to introduce your business or product with an eye towards your readers' goals and needs.
