Lessons From Mackenzie

 Lessons From Mackenzie

Mackenzie was a sophomore in high school when the realization hit. She had been going to the same school for eighteen years, and it seemed to have done nothing for her self-confidence. Every day she felt like she would never escape the feeling of being out of place at school as someone who was more popular and smarter than everyone else.

She felt stuck in this nightmarish cycle, so when her mom handed her a book with an essay by an English teacher at Stanford, Mackenzie decided to try something new and took on his advice.

He had written a piece called "Ten Rules for Learning", and he broke down eleven rules into what he believed were the most important steps. He called these "Masters of Learning". Mackenzie turned his essay into a promise. Then she got to work to make it happen.
