Release Resistance

 Release Resistance

When it comes to learning something new, you have to practice if you want to become proficient. But practicing new skills can be difficult when the right state of mind is not present. You might find yourself feeling like giving up or getting discouraged, even though you know that practice is key to mastering the skill or topic. One way of overcoming your resistance and getting over this mental hurdle is through mindfulness meditation.

Introducing a mindful approach will help release your nervous system and lower anxiety levels so that you don't have any problems either with what you are doing or with dealing with obstacles along the way. Now how do you go about doing this and how can this apply to the art of learning the ukulele?

There are two types of anxiety, one that is good and one that is not. The good anxiety is a natural reaction to any stressor, which motivates you to confront the situation and handle it. It makes you feel anxious, but there is no question about whether or not you will take action. When it comes to learning a new skill or tackling a challenge, this fear can motivate you to move forward.

The bad anxiety on the other hand, has no benefit and only serves as a distraction from the real issue at hand. It is a constant hindrance to your progress. Sometimes it makes you want to give up or go on the defensive, which only leads to more frustration. Both types of anxiety are normal and can be used as motivators when dealing with a new challenge.

In order to practice mindfulness and be effective in overcoming your resistance, it is essential that you adopt the right attitude when facing any new challenge. One strategy is to focus on the present moment rather than being distracted by what may lie ahead or what happened in the past. Accept the fear as part of the process and don't let it keep you from moving forward.

If you find yourself getting frustrated, take a deep breath and remind yourself that this is just practice. In time, you will become more adept at dealing with unexpected obstacles and have accumulated enough experience to deal with anything that may come your way. Also, keep in mind that even if an obstacle happens to get in your way, it is only temporary and doesn't mean that you can't overcome the challenge.

A second strategy involves the use of music as a vehicle in which to practice mindfulness. When learning an instrument such as the ukulele, set aside some time to practice as often as you can. Make it a routine and don't stop until you really feel like you've done your best. Usually, this will only take a few minutes, but if you push yourself then you may find that it's enough to get the ball rolling.

Pick out a song and play it over and over again until you are comfortable with the chords or lyrics. Take time to digest what it is that you're trying to learn, listen closely to how the music sounds in each key and how each string is played individually.

You can even make your own practice track, by recording the rhythm and chords of a song that you've learned on your ukulele. This will allow you to practice hearing, playing and controlling the beat of a song. Once you are comfortable with this process, move on to learning another song and repeat this process over again.

When you focus on the melody of the song or how each chord sounds as you play it, then this is what is known as being mindful. The word itself describes being in the moment which is essential when actively learning something new. Focusing on your playing makes it easier to learn a new skill and helps release any nervous energy that might otherwise come between yourself and progression.

Each time you practice your instrument, take out any distractions and focus on playing in the present moment. Don't be distracted by the future or the past because if you do this, then you aren't focused on where your thoughts are at the moment. Mindfulness meditation will help keep you in tune with what is taking place around you and with the music that you are playing.

So when it comes to learning a new skill or facing a new challenge, mindfulness meditation is one way that can help release any fear or anxiety that might be holding you back from progression. But this is only one of many skills that can be learned through practicing a mindful approach to life. It is also important to realize that anxiety and fear are natural feelings, which can be used as motivating factors to take action, when learning a new skill.

Mindfulness meditation combined with the right attitude will help you engage your passion and take action. In doing so, you will be able to learn faster by becoming more aware of what motivates and drives you. This will help release any stress-related anxiety and pave the way for your success when learning a new skill. Now go out there and practice! [END ARTICLE]

I found that getting true inner peace did not come from meditation, yoga or any other route to physical relaxation. It came from internalizing a sense of peace and calmness in every moment of my life. These are the feelings I try and help others to achieve in their everyday lives through this website, regardless of how high or low their levels of anxiety might be.
