Self-Confidence - 3 Things You Can Do When You Have None

Don't know what you're doing wrong, or how to put up a good front? Here are some pointers to help boost your self-esteem.

1. Love yourself for who you are
You're an individual, not a clone of anyone else! You might have their strengths, but you also have your own unique qualities and traits that no one can ever replicate. Recognize the good in yourself and be proud of it!

2. Be realistic. Don't be afraid of failure
Losing is a part of life, whether it's a basketball game, or a race against the clock. Accept that failure is an experience that everyone goes through. Learn from your failures and move on, with the knowledge that next time you'll be better!

3. Don't dwell on negative thoughts.
You might think of yourself as ugly, but what do your friends see in you? Love yourself for who you are and don't let negative thoughts get the best of you.

Hi everyone. I know that you should be learning about your culture, and trying to be a cultural ambassador. But hey, I came up with this catchy little jingle last night... a little self-esteem check-up. :-)

I think that the key to self-esteem is not to expect a lot from yourself, but rather to be happy about what you have achieved, and what you can achieve. Being grateful for what you have will help boost your self-esteem. So check out this article and try to live by it! http://www.selfesteemresourcecenter.com/reflections/today...

I totally picked this up from Akon's 'Locked Up'. Just looked it up on youtube and it's pretty good - I've never heard it before! He's The Voice. Have a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLUoZMF9XBg

Thank you so much people :) I am feeling great!! You all have made me feel like a million bucks. Talking about it and writing it all down seems to be a pretty good way of getting though these things. It's funny how you get so caught up in the ups and downs of your life, and you forget that other people are going through the same stuff. I hope that we can continue to connect!
