5 Unusual Jobs You Can Get With A Nursing Degree

Nursing is an in-demand occupation, and it's relatively simple to find a nursing job. Still, there are a few occupations that you can get with your nursing degree that are a little out of the ordinary. Here are five unusual jobs you can get with a nursing degree:

The first is as an advocate for people of color who need medical care, who cannot afford treatment or insurance. You’ll work closely with clinics and hospitals to make sure these patients can receive the care they need without overburdening their social services.

Another option is being a flight nurse for private planes, which requires just two years of education at the clinical level. This can be a great way to travel, and also offers an excellent benefit package.

Your final option is as a home nurse, who will be responsible for caring for sick or disabled people at home. This is the most popular kind of nursing in the United States, with more than half the population being cared for by a nurse at least once this year.

Finally we have work as an airport terminal attendant--which sounds cool right up until you find out it involves getting up early every day to meet outgoing flights and ensure that incoming planes get unloaded properly. That pays fairly well (about $15 per hour), but it's hardly an easy job. If you're looking for a challenge, it could be right up your alley.
