Look up! Every day, you walk by businesses that need a better online presence, or maybe it's just a business that has potential and could be improved.

Here's how to find opportunities:
The first place you want to look is on your phone or laptop. You can search "opportunities" or "business for sale", you can check out companies that are up for bankruptcy, or you can even use the handy search tool at businessforbidders.com, which allows you to get alerts via email of when a business comes on the market that matches your criteria.
There are also tons of places where there are classified listings by location. The challenge with this is finding businesses that are close to you, but there are ways around it. For example, if you're in a rural area, you can look up opportunities outside of your city.
Also look through forums and social media sites such as Facebook or LinkedIn.
You can also search review websites like us here at businessopportunitiesreview.com , where we combine all the opportunities into one place for your convenience - maybe it's even an opportunity that we have reviewed already!
It's always best to do some research before buying any business just to make sure that it's not listed as a scam on any review website.
Check out the business before contacting them. You might have found a local business that's perfect for you, but check out their website and facebook page, just to make sure that they're professional and have a good reputation.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us anytime!

There are hundreds of different review websites for businesses these days, with each one dedicated to a specific industry or niche. We've compiled a list of websites that review small businesses within various industries so that you don't waste your time searching through them individually. This can be difficult if you are unsure what type of business to start or what industry interests you the most.
Review websites are also usually free, but they are also limited to only one business per review. This is why it's best to do your research beforehand to find the right opportunity that suits you before contacting them.
We recommend the following websites:
Other useful resources include:
www.bizopportunities.us – BizOpportunities is a well-established site with a large database of small businesses for sale, but unfortunately it includes many businesses listed as scams and is likely to seriously overcharge you if you decide to buy one of their listings. It's currently down for upgrades due to relaunching, but will be back shortly after!
www.businessforfree.com – This site is similar to BizOpportunities and has a large database of "free" businesses for sale, but they are not free at all and are likely all scams.
www.smallbizsforsale.com – This site claims to have a list of small businesses for sale, but there's no way to prove that they actually do this. We recommend you avoid this website completely!
www.smallbusinesssales.com – This site does not contain businesses for sale but only shows ads on the page for businesses or companies that are for sale, so we do not recommend it as well.
The following websites also have some listings of business opportunities:
www.goodbusinessopportunities.com - A useful source of free business opportunities, but they require your email in order to find out more information.
www.smallbusinessopportunities.com – This one is also fairly good but is limited to only 10 listings per search. Great for someone who is looking for a specific type of business, which makes it a useful source of business opportunities.
www.uwsfbizopps.com – This site claims to be free, but they ask you to subscribe to their email newsletter in return for such information as a "free list" or "free classified ads.
www.businessopportunitiesreview.com – This site is a very good source of business for sale opportunities for various different niches, and we recommend that you use our search to find the perfect business opportunity for you!
www.bizlistusa.com – This one is also very good but limits you to only 20 listings per day, which is why we recommend using our own search tool instead, since it's much more effective!
www.smallbusinesslistingsite.com – This site has a small database of businesses for sale in different niches, but they are all listed as scams if you check them out - so again, don't use this one!
www.buysmallbusinessesnow.com – This one is a good source of free business for sale opportunities that you can advertise for free on, but again, the majority of them are scams and you will need to pay to post your listing on their website.
www.smallbusinessadoptions.com – This site offers a database of businesses that you can "adopt" without having to pay anything in return - however, they only list businesses that are either under 3 months old or have been on their database for at least 5 years, so this is really only useful if you're looking for a business that's been around a long time and has high growth potential.
Other websites where small businesses are listed include:
www.transfersmallbusinessesnow.com – This site offers businesses for sale that you can "transfers" to other people, but again, they are limited to only businesses that are at least 3 months old and have at least 50 reviews. Definitely not worth using.
www.businessrspace.com – This site allows you to buy businesses, but it only works with a network of investors and there's no guarantee that they will list your business on their database (we recommend you check out the Small Business Reviews page instead).
