As a professional freelance writer and communications consultant, I spend a fair amount of time working on blogs and websites. One of the biggest issues I encounter as a blogger is the so-called "blog post spammers". Blog-post spammers are people who take one piece of my writing which they like, and then plagiarize it by taking the first sentence or paragraph and copying it into their own work…often with little to no attribution. Their low quality work instantly gets deleted, leaving me wondering why I continue to put up with the hassle. Posts and articles written by me which I have no problem with are listed below. Wherever possible, links to my website are provided. If you wish to reproduce any of the material, please contact me for permission.

While an article has been circulating with a headline that claims that Gandhi was assassinated because he was gay, a few other facts have been mentioned — one of them being that he died just hours before he was going to announce his engagement to a German Jewish pediatrician (named Dr. Magenau). The engagement was long-standing (she had lived with the Gandhi family for three years and been involved in treating their children) and he had even told his wife about it. However, he was still hesitant to fulfil his promise to her as he felt deeply conflicted about it as Dr. Magna was not from the Hindu caste of his first wife, Kasturba. In the end, this may have been what led him to take the fateful decision….

In what must be one of the most ridiculous stories ever about a celebrity, The Daily Mail reported this week that "Bridget Jones" star Renée Zellweger is a boy . This claim was based on the finding that "Renée has more male chromosomes than female ones." Like many other tabloids, the Mail felt free to speculate that this might somehow explain why she doesn't wear make-up (apparently men don't wear make-up). The story was then run in a number of places, including Yahoo News and The Inquisitr. All of them, by the way, talk about it as if it's fact and not as if it's an unsubstantiated claim by an unnamed "source" and some sort of bizarre test. Perhaps we'll never know the truth.

Conclusion: I could find nothing in the Bible to suggest that homosexuality is wrong or undesirable. Indeed, it seems clear to me that the Bible sides with those who do not find homosexuality wrong, who even regard homosexual activity as normal. The Bible does not speak of homosexual relationships as sinful or immoral, only of homosexual acts in general. An uncharitable reading of the text would say that God approves of faithful same-sex relationships; a charitable reading would say that God does not care about sexuality as such but only condemns sexual immorality.
