Spirituality - Journey In The Fields Of Forever ( Part 96 )
The subject of spirituality is an interesting one to talk about, for many people. For others, the idea of spirituality seems a little bizarre and mind-boggling. What does it mean to be spiritual? Does it mean that you go through life aimlessly without any goals or aspirations? Is it simply just being open minded and accepting different ways of living your life rather than pick one type that fits what you're comfortable with? I don't know if there's really a simple answer to these questions, but I do know this: the journey in the fields of forever is a beautiful thing.
The journey in the fields of forever is a journey of creation and destruction, a journey of love and hate, a journey of light and darkness, a journey that touches on both sides of the mirror. I'm not saying that all good things come from the light, for there are dark things that are beautiful as well. But I am saying that once you can step outside of your consciousness and onto the other side, you can find the beauty in everything.
It's interesting to think about how someone can look past someone else's faults or problems that they might have with them. We can see something about them, about their personality, about their origin and where they come from.
I feel that the journey in the fields of forever is a journey of seeking self-knowledge. What I mean is this: we are more than our physical bodies and minds. We are more than what's on the outside. We are readers of stories inside our heads. Our bodies exist as physical manifestations of thoughts that we have conceived, whether they be good or bad things that have happened to us in life or good things we have wanted to happen in our lives. We don't exist in the world as we do because of our physical bodies alone. We are, to a degree, a projection of our inner thoughts and feelings. When we get rid of that idea that we are who we are because we're born into this physical body/mind/spirit body combination, we're left with the truth: what we really are is who we have made ourselves out to be.
So how does someone achieve true self-knowledge? They must become aware of their own thoughts and actions; they must become aware that what they think or do has an impact on their lives. They must look at themselves through the eyes of others, or through the eyes of the past. For most of us, it's easy to see the mistakes we have made or the things that have happened in our lives that we wish hadn't. And it's easy to identify those people and those events that have helped us get through life. How many times do we thank the people around us for one thing or another? Many people feel alone at times and say there is nobody who understands them in this world they live in. Everyone wants to be loved, everyone wants to be accepted, everyone wants to be understood by others.
