How Do I Take Ownership?
There are three ways you can take ownership of your issues, and the first is by actually taking action. That's the step that most people don't think about - they wait until their problems start happening and then they struggle with figuring out what to do. It makes sense - if you're constantly stressed then it's very easy to lose motivation to move forward. But that doesn't mean that something isn't wrong - an issue has just become more significant to you than it was before, so it affects your life on a deeper level than before. If you feel like you're having a difficult time moving forward, I highly recommend taking ownership of your issues. The more you think about it, the more certain actions become clear to you and the more motivated you'll be to actually move forward.
The second way to take ownership of your problems is by identifying what action that would result in the best outcome for your situation. That could mean therapy, it could mean going on a vacation with friends, or it could mean confronting someone who is bullying you. There are many ways to take action, but the most important thing is that whatever choice you make, it's something that's meaningful and effective even if there's no clear answer at present.
The third way I recommend taking ownership is to make a list of all the issues that you're facing and then creating an action plan on how you can address each one. This step is crucial because by identifying each problem, you're taking steps towards solving them. Make sure to focus on solutions and not feelings - if you create a plan that helps you feel better about yourself, then you'll be in much better shape than someone who comes up with a plan that includes writing down their feelings for a few weeks. The time for emotional release has passed - now it's time to start making meaningful changes in your life.
Take ownership of your issues - it's the first step to long-term success. If you're stuck with a relatively small problem, then you can skip to the action step below and work your way through the steps of taking ownership. Otherwise, keep reading.
