The Best And Worst Months For Earning Money On Adsense

Nobody really likes the income fluctuations that come with freelancing, but they happen and we can't help it. We are living in a time where more people are joining the workforce and more companies are outsourcing work because of this, so there is never going to be an easy answer. But I am going to share with you my experiences as a freelancer for about two years now. I will also give you how much money each month I made from Adsense from December 2015 to 2016.

If anyone ever asks me how much money I make, I always share with them that each month I make around $1000-$1500. Some people want to know the exact amount each month, but the only way to find out is by tracking it or by running and comparing last year's numbers to this year's. Simply put, it is hard to know because every month has its challenges and also because of the many things that can affect your income.
If you want a monthly income goal and want to see if you can reach it or not, then looking at your Adsense stats may help give you some motivation. If you are making $2000 a month and want to see if you can make $2000 for the next two month, then look at your stats and see how many clicks you got, what adsense keywords convert the best for you, when and where you get more clicks from, etc.

For me though, I was never able to reach $2000 in one month even if I tried (maybe this year I will actually reach that goal). There are certain months where there is a huge spike in clicks or in earnings but then there are other months when there is very little work or no work at all. It is frustrating, but that is freelancing. As with any job, the time you make the most money is when something comes in and it is constant for a while.
You have to be prepared for those months of no work. So if you are starting out as a freelancer or don't have a steady flow of work and need money each month, then $1000-$1500 may not be realistic for you because there will always be challenges as an independent contractor.
Writing articles and blog posts may also help boost your income though. I only started to write full-time around December 2015 so this will be only my second year of freelancing, but I made around $4325 total from Adsense last year. Since I started writing in 2015, I made a total of around $5450 from Adsense.
I think last year was the best time for my Adsense earnings though. I had a steady flow of work and earned more than the previous months. One reason was because I did a lot of guest posting before in November and December and that helped me get more traffic earlier in the year. Another reason why it was better has to do with the adsense keywords.
I only had 30K-40K impressions per month or so last year and only about 500 clicks (you get around 2 clicks for every 1000 impressions), but my revenue was at an average of $3 per click. I got $6 in clicks per 1000 impressions last year.
I don't really know how I can get more impressions and clicks from Adsense, but I am thinking of doing more guest posting on other bloggers' blogs. It is not going to be as profitable as it used to be, but it is still a decent way of making money.
I am still new at this so this will be only my second year with Adsense, but I think that experience will give me a good idea on how much per month it will cost me or even if it is worth it by comparing my earnings with others who are getting similar profits from Adsense. If I am still making that much in November or December of this year, then I will probably go on with it and try to make more money.
Why are you still vegan?
I started to become a vegetarian around the time of 6th grade when I heard about some "from the Earth" products that my mom was using. After hearing about those products, I was very curious. My mom was always worried about whether we are consuming pesticides or not so she tried to be as natural as possible when she could. This included: replacing toilet paper with toilet brush, using actual wheat for bread instead of the store brand (and it is the best bread I have ever tasted), using aluminum foil instead of cling wrap, etc.
I went back to eating meat two or three years after becoming a vegetarian, mainly because I was influenced by my friends and their families who were non-vegetarian. I did try to be a vegetarian again around 2010 or 2011 but I gave up after a month because there was too much pressure from my family and friends.
I know that being vegan is a life commitment but just looking at the animal products these days really bothers me. The idea of our bodies using animal products is really gross. I know other people are okay with it, but I can't be one of them.
I am not going to pressure you into veganism, but I want you to start thinking about the effects of eating meat and if you want to do your part in helping animals. If any of you out there are considering becoming vegetarian or vegan, then here are some questions that you may want to ask yourself:
Wouldn't paradise be a place where animals live freely, with clean air and water, without pain or fear? (www.impartialevaluation.com)
What may happen if you are vegan?
You will start to care more about your health because of the amount of food that you get. You can't just eat whatever. You will be more conscious of the animals' welfare and don't want to contribute anything that hurts them. You will feel a sense of relief knowing that you are not eating an animal's flesh or byproducts. Your parents and friends may be worrying about your health, but once they see the results, they will be thankful. (I'm going to link a couple of my older blog posts where I shared my triumphs on becoming healthier as a result of being vegan.
I can't believe I ever ate meat... How did I live without this sandwich, this apple or even the eggs in my fridge? My taste buds are tingling from the succulent, juicy taste of these few surviving animals.
I'm so glad they lived that long. They're in heaven now and having a blast. I wonder what an animal feels when it dies, is that pain and suffering? ...Before they're cooked… The result is delicious and takes me back to being a little girl again...

Conclusion
If you want to be a vegan but are scared, then just try it. You can start by eating more fruits and vegetables. As of now, I have been vegan for 4 years and I have never felt better in my life. Good luck!
Thanks for the article! It's nice to read about the difference between being Australian and USian. Not really sure whether or not there are big differences between those two countries though (at least from here -- from Germany).
