My name is Elise. I have had a passion for the medical profession from an early age. I have always dreamed of being able to make a difference in other people's lives by saving lives and improving the quality of life for others.
I am now working as a medical transcriptionist at my local hospital in order to put my education to use and help provide for myself financially. As one of the most skilled typists, I know that with my resume I will be able to illustrate some of the features which make me an excellent candidate for any position!
After completing high school and taking some introductory classes, I enrolled in two years at community college where I took typing, shorthand and computer programming courses. As the program was taken from scratch, I had to complete the full two year program in one year. Upon completion, I had mastered all of the basic skills necessary for successful job opportunities.
The following year, I moved on to taking college courses at a local state university. There were over eleven programs available for me to choose from and I chose medical transcription which proved to be the ideal choice! The combination of my typing speed and excellent attention to detail meant that I would be able to excel at any position within the medical field.
In order to show employers my true value I have created a professionally formatted resume which highlights some of my skills and experience. I am confident that after reading my resume, you will be able to see the hard work and dedication with which I have given myself the chance to position myself for success.

I have also had training in the use of the following programs: MS Office, Med-Scribe, AI Speech Recognition and Typing Master Pro."
"My goal is to continue working in medical transcription until I am able to take a position as a medical secretary or other related position. I am able to type approximately 100 words per minute and understand that this is above the average typist."
"I am currently a student at a local university and have chosen to major in medical transcription. My goal is to continue my education for an additional two years after which I will be eligible for certification. I am currently an unpaid medical transcriptionist at my local hospital in order to gain experience. "
