Business Portal – Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 – highlights for consultant
The Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 Business Portal, has been designed to provide you with the tools and information you need to be successful as a consultant. The portal is loaded with training modules and industry specific designations, all of which will help you stay competitive in your role as a business analyst. It’s important that these resources are easy to find, because they’re so essential for being successful in our market today. In addition, the Business Portal provides navigation features that make it quick and easy to access critical features in your organisation like financials or service management processes
and procedures. Finally, the Business Portal provides a company news section at the top of the page that keeps you up to date with Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics GP news from around the world.
The Business Portal is accessible in Microsoft Dynamics GP by clicking on your profile picture in the upper-right corner of your screen. As you can see in this screen shot, this opens up a menu that allows you to select Reports, Training and other items as well. The Training menu item takes you directly to your content library, where you can view training courses related to business analysis tasks like Financial Reporting and Workflow Analysis. And, if you need general Dynamics GP training, there’s a Training link in the navigation bar of this page that will take you to the Dynamics GP Online Help and Training area.
In addition to the training resources available in the Training library, we’re excited to announce a new feature in the Business Portal called e-learning courses. These are Microsoft Dynamics specific courses that can be accessed through your company and organisation structure in Microsoft Dynamics GP. The e-learning allows you complete courses on your schedule. It’s an easy way to learn without disrupting your workday schedule. And, with the Dynamics GP Online Help and Training area, you’ll get explanations of just about any of the functions or features in Dynamics GP.
The Business Portal also provides access to your organisation structure for all users of the tool. This is handy to know if you plan to apply for a job within your organisation and need to be able to provide information like employee numbers, location and other details. The organisational structure is available on the Home tab in the navigation area of your browser.
