You've built a downline... Now what? How do you build a downline that brings in enough new people to help you continue growing your organization?
If you're like most network marketers, there are basically two kinds of downliners out there:  working ones and non-working ones.  The former are the people who recruit and bring in new blood that turns into new money for your personal business. The latter are people who show up to meetings but don't really do much more than that.
If you're like most network marketers, you've been involved with both groups at one point or another.
So, who's the kind of downline builder that has you scratching your head?
Let's look at what works and doesn't work when it comes to a downline building strategy... As A Business Owner, What Do You Want?
When I first started Network Marketing years ago I was focused on selling nutritional supplements that helped me have more energy. In fact, I wasn't really interested in making much money at all--I only saw this as a way to supplement my income.  I had no idea just how big of a business idea this would turn out to be!
Fast forward to today.  As the owner of a thriving nutrition company, I'm still in the business of selling vitamins, minerals, and other nutritional supplements. But now I've got a growing number of people selling my products, and that's led me to have a different mindset.  Now I'm not just interested in selling products--I'm interested in helping my team members succeed as well.  I want to give them every opportunity to make money--especially since they're spending so much time and effort trying to sell my vitamins and minerals. All this is why, when it comes to building up your downline, there are some key things that you need in order for them to do the best job possible...
FIVE THINGS YOU MUST DO WHEN BUILDING A DOWNLINE Here are the key things you should be doing to help your downline do the best job possible: 1. Accountability. Your downline needs to know that you care about them more than just about any other group of people.  This means that you need to spend time and energy personally helping them before they do something for YOU .  For example, if someone has a bad day in public speaking then don't come up with an excuse as to why they shouldn't be in front of an audience or why they shouldn't try again another time. Make sure they can see that you're willing to help them out without even thinking twice about it. 2. Teach your team to create a business that's built around YOU .  Instead of creating a simple pyramid with the top layer being the 'leader' and the bottom layer being the 'followers', teach your team members to think of themselves as part of a team--and everyone at the bottom is an active part of that team.   This kind of thinking leads to more cooperation and teamwork within your organization, which will lead to more success in your business. 3. Focus on what you know and love--and let your downline help you bring in new customers by focusing on what inspires them.
