Effective Links Building Strategy

In other words, you're saying "Hey man, these are the steps we take when developing content for our website."

So you can't sit there and say "yes" or "no" to this because it's subjective to what you do.

Just saying.

If I wanted to use your blog articles for my consulting services would that be okay? I'm not suggesting that's what you are doing, just stating a hypothetical situation. This is not relevant to my issue I'm having now with the template I purchased from designcrowd. I just like your article so much I wanted to ask your opinion. Thank you

I was more meaning that if you are going to sell the design, it should be 100% yours and better still someone can come up with their own version of it as having a "cookie cutter" website is one of the worst things in business IMHO.

Typical example is whitehouse.gov vs obama.com or craigscorner.com vs 123movieshub.org .....google can't really distinguish between the two because they are using the same design and content....

I agree.....to me it's a major reason why some of the very few I would trust to do my websites are not a lot of people anymore. It's kind of sad to think that you can't do anything original anymore....maybe it was different when I first started out but for now, I don't see how someone can beat the template and be original and stand out in the market like so many others have done.

A time bomb. Simply great articles!

Thank You Very Much...If You Can Pls Keep Up The Great Work..Will Love To Share This with My Friends and Also Gain More Business Ideas From This site..

Thank You Very Much...

Thank you so much! I really enjoyed reading your blog and actually quite agree with most of what your saying. It is just a matter of putting it out there haha.

Ditto, and thank you for sharing your views.

Just one question: What is a lead? Is it a person or a company ? And why do you talk about leads in the Direct Mail Marketing section ? (I'm asking because I am responding to an article on lead generation)

This is where the user enters his or her information into a form on your website in exchange for some sort of incentive or reward (usually it's an eBook or e-course, but not always).

With this info, you then build a sales funnel and nurture your lead.

That's a very, very basic explanation of the process.

Thanks for the quick reply mate; I know all about web design (I've been designing websites for about seven years now), but this is my first time ever dealing with a template - so I was just wondering if it was okay to use my own logo as well as some other changes like that. Also, what other services do you recommend for someone new to this?

What's your website address? I'd be glad to take a look at it.

You want to make sure they're relevant and useful. For example, you wouldn't want to put "How to Get Rich Quick!" in your home page. That's not relatable to most people.

You could place it in a sub-menu of your site, though.

If you really have no clue what are you doing and have no experience whatsoever for online marketing, I would recommend hiring someone for this kind of task. If you want to do your own SEO/Online Marketing/Social Media Marketing/etc., I'd recommend that you learn how to do it first (there are tons of articles and videos on the Internet). You should familiarize yourself with all the basic concepts of a web marketing strategy. Without having these basic concepts, you're going to have a very hard time growing your online presence. There is no way of knowing which website is the right one for you until you start doing your own research.

I'd probably say that SEO might be a good place to start, as well as social media marketing, but every campaign will look different (even if they're the same theme). I don't recommend hiring someone to do SEO or a social media campaign for you unless you have experience with both areas. I've used several people in my career who've worked with me on my SEO/Social Media Marketing campaigns and would highly recommend them because they understand both areas and know how to get the most out of it. They don't need me to tell them what I want; they know what I want.

Here's a list of companies who I've used and liked working with: http://markdalgleish.com/blog/who-do-i-hire

I hope that helps you figure out who to hire.

Hi, thanks for your answers. Yes, it is just for testing purposes, and yes it is running on wordpress (I am currently looking for a new template, both free or paid). Since your comment relates directly to the questions above it might make sense to merge the two threads into one, but again thank you for your reply.

Any hints for the logo question? Do you think it's a good idea to show a company logo on your website (with .com after it)? I can't decide whether to continue with the design as it is, or to change the logo.

Could someone explain me in simple terms what "on page seo" is? I have been trying some things here and there but didn't really know what I was doing. Thanks!

Good day! Could you please help me learn more about internet marketing through the span of MA time? The program is with Career Academy and they said that this class would be helpful.

Conclusion

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Internet marketing is not dead.

People think that with the advent of Google+, Facebook and Twitter, people won't be visiting websites as much anymore. I don't believe that's true either.

In fact, I'd argue that Internet marketing is even more important now than ever before because...

There are a lot more people using social media and Google+ now than ever. Why? Because there are a lot more people now using the internet than ever before. There are more people on Facebook than ever before and more people on Google + than ever before (even those who say they hate it still use it).
