Ever Wanted To Be An Acrobat?

The aerial arts are coming back in a big way! Here at Fumbling Bee we specialize in teaching all disciplines of the aerial arts, and teach it with a focus on safety. There’s never been a better time to try something new so think about signing up for our next class!

We teach aerial silks, lyra/aerial hoop and trapeze. We also offer courses in contact juggling, diabolos and poi. You'll have fun while learning the skills you need to be a certified performer or instructor. Our instructors will provide professional advice while letting you explore your creativity without becoming bogged down by technique or formality.  We’re here to help you have the time of your life learning and performing these beautiful art forms.

Everyone Could Use a Carrier!
What does a day in the life of a trapeze artist look like?
Well, it looks a little like this: come to class, practice at home, and perform an act at shows or school assemblies. Of course there’s nothing to stop you from just spending a lot of time swinging around and having fun. It’s amazing how good exercise can be when it doesn't feel like exercise! The tricks are challenging but anyone can become an aerialist with enough hard work and persistence.

How can you get involved? It’s simple. Just sign up for a class! Each class will include time learning technique and doing fun exercises. We'll help you explore your body's potential for grace, balance, strength and agility. You'll find yourself doing things you never thought possible... and having fun! We also offer individual lessons if your schedule doesn't allow for a full class at that time.

The Aerial Arts Instructor Training Program:
Ever wanted to be an acrobat? Here’s how: First, you need to learn how to swing around the silks on a trapeze. Then, maybe you want to learn how to spin by swinging in the hoop. And if you’re not already in school, you can now get a degree in Circus and Aerial Arts Studies.

Fumbling Bee Studios is pleased to announce the new full-time instructor training program to be held at their main location in Seattle, Washington. This two-year program is designed for students who want to train as primary instructors for aerial arts schools. The focus of the coursework will be on the study of safe, fun aerial arts pedagogy, with classes covering topics from marketing and advertising to rigging and basic acrobatic technique. Students will not only learn how to perform high flying tricks, but will also learn how to teach them!
The next class begins on August 2nd 2018. If you're looking for a new challenge, this is it! Make a difference in the world by becoming a trained professional performer and instructor! Aside from the coursework, students will perform and create their own acts for Fumbling Bee Studios.

If you are interested in joining the course as an intern, please register here: http://fumblingbeecircus.com/contact-2/

Recreational Activities:
Looking for something to do in Seattle? At Fumbling Bee we offer everything from aerial acrobatics to contact juggling. You can sign up for group classes or drop in to practice on your own. Here are some ways to get involved:
Take a single-session course, such as Silks and Hoops or Lyra. Hook up with your friends and learn how to be safe! Take a class of your own with one of our Big Apple Circus performers. Watch Ringling Bros. or Cirque du Soleil perform in Seattle, then spend the night learning how hard it is to walk on those high silks!
Have an office party and try some aerial tricks for entertainment. Plan an aerial picnic for your co-workers at the top of a skyscraper! Invite everyone over for a lunch break aerial performance! Train your pet parrot to touch the silks... just kidding, maybe not that last one.
If you have kids, start them young! The earlier they get into the aerial arts, the better! A child can learn to balance long before their muscles are developed for walking or running. And don't underestimate the power of silliness. Aerial hoop is a truly unique and fun way to teach kids good form and positive reinforcement.

Community Activities:
Fumbling Bee is always up for new collaborations with our neighbors. From free classes in the park to circus equipment sharing events with Seattle's community groups, we're always there to help out with whatever aerial activities you want to do. We're flexible. Anything from an impromptu show to a school assembly or workshop can be organized at the last minute. We're also proud to support other local Seattle area businesses such as:
The Northwest Circus Center, Pacific Science Center, Big Apple Circus, and the Vera Project.
You can find us on Facebook, Twitter and Flickr to say hello and stay up to date on what's going on with aerial arts in Seattle! Also check out some of our famous aerialists perform at conventions like Emerald City Comicon
