In the resume writing business, we are most often asked to write a resume that will get an interview. This is a pretty tall order. Very few resumes do this successfully on their own! In fact, the vast majority of resumes receive no response at all. This is why your resume must be professionally written and crafted in order to succeed. One of the single most important elements in your resume is the Keywords you list in your experience statements, as well as in any Specialties section you may have. These keywords will determine if a resume screener will even click on your resume to read it!

Conclusion.
Please note that you should only use the above keywords if they are related to the job you are seeking. It's also important to note that the more recent your experience is, the more likely it is that someone will find your resume online.
You will notice there are no industry-specific keywords listed in this article. That is because I feel there is too much competition in any career field for one resume to have a chance of being seen over all of the other resumes using those keywords. Your best bet is to use industry-specific keywords for jobs in which you have worked within the last two years, and try to create a general resume which contains general (not industry-specific) keywords if you don't have much experience.
