Resume - A Showcase Of Your Skills
A Resume is the most important tool you have to sell yourself in today's competitive job market. It's not just a collection of your work experience, degrees, and certifications; it's also a showcase of your skills. Here are some tips that will help you make the best resume possible!
- First things first: try to put your strongest skills at the top of this document for easy access and high visibility.
- Although it may seem like common sense, by limiting yourself to two pages you'll need more substantial accomplishments that show not just work experience but also personal development.
- Have a friend or family member review it before sending it out.
- Be objective and honest, as you don't want to miss any red flags if they do notice something wrong.
- Don't cut any corners with formatting; ensure that your fonts are bold and easy to read, with margins between sections. Hard copies are fine for submission but also have a digital copy available for download online.

Thanks for contributing to this great article but there is a mistake in the title: It should be "Resume Writing" not "How to Write a Resume". Otherwise, the content is fantastic and helpful, though a little confusing in some parts (for example, whose voice is heard in [ARTICLE START]).

I have been working with recruiters for over 10 years, hiring dozens of people and sending hundreds of resumes to companies in more than 20 positions for engineering roles. I have never seen a resume like this one. The format, style, and content are exceptional! There are not enough words to describe it other than "AMAZING". It is well-organized, easy to review and very thorough. You need to get this into your hands. It will go a long way in getting you hired.
I agree with everything in the article. I am currently reading your book and it is very helpful and educational. Thank you!

I liked this article, but I was wondering where it is necessary to add education history. It is a resume for non-academic people, so how it can be useful?
Hi @Allie23 Thank you for reading my blog. You're welcome! :) By the way, you can also check out my post on the best places to get your resume reviewed and edited: http://www.jobresumeeditor.com/best-places-to-get-resume-reviewed/
You do not have to use a chronological format when writing a resume. Don't be fooled into thinking that if you don't use this format then your document will be weak or ineffective as a whole.
Conclusion:
Writing a resume is not as hard as you think. Just remember to draft it based on your experiences that are related to the job you are applying for. The rest will follow because of your strong past experience. Good luck!
