Six Tips For Perfect Email Pitches

Six Tips For Perfect Email Pitches

It's not easy to write a great pitch for an email, but you need to nail it for this important marketing and communications tool to be successful. According to a survey by Constant Contact, the top reason why people sign up for newsletters is because they like the emails. This is six expert tips that will help you craft an email pitch that your customers can't resist.

1) Use a conversational style with short paragraphs and bullet points instead of long sentences.

2) Keep it short! 3-5 sentences max or it will likely get skipped over with other important things in their inboxes. (But make sure you tell them what you want first. It's important that you ask for a Bcc.)

3) Do not pitch a specific product or service. Instead, provide useful information that helps your prospects, like a tip on how to rev up the engine of their business.

4) Call on each person by name and create 'emergencies' to engage them in the sales process without needing them to do anything. (This is something I've been working on myself!)

5) Make it personal and make it clear who they are and why they matter to you by including quotes or references that immediately connect with them.

6) Use the subject lines as headlines to grab the reader's attention. Be specific and get their attention. (Hint: Don't say 'Newsletter' in the headline.)

Shocking Statistics About the State of Mind of the Millennial BusinesspersonMillennials are everywhere these days and they're in charge of a growing number of companies and businesses. Over the past few years, this generation has had a significant impact on the global and national economy and their leaders are more aware of this than ever before. But the state of their business mind is still often overlooked, which is why I want to give you some recent statistics on how millennials are doing and what they are doing in the business world. What Do They Want? According to a recent survey by The Workforce Institute at Kronos Inc, millennials want to feel appreciated for their work. They like making an impact in other people's lives as well as being able to give back to society, which is why volunteering and being a community leader are two areas that they value highly. They also want to be challenged by learning new things and having fun. This generation is incredibly ambitious as they want to make their mark in the world and they want to know that they're making a difference. They like people who are "walking their talk" and are excited about following through on their goals. How Do Millennials Want to Work? The Workforce Institute also found, however, that millennials aren't willing to work the same hours, days and weeks as those of other generations. According to Ethisphere Institute's 2015 Digital Trust Barometer , 80% of millennials say flexible work arrangements (work from home or work at home) is a good thing for employees yet only 30% of employers provide such options. They also said that employers are failing to cater to millennials and that it's preventing them from performing at their best. They want to be able to work from home, on the road or wherever they need to work in order to do their best for the company, but only 30% of employers provide such flexibility. 43% of millennials say flexible scheduling is critical for employee engagement and 43% say flexible schedules are critical for future employment. Millennials also want more training and development, which is critical for people who want more advancement opportunities in the workplace. According to a study by Everest Group , only 7% of millennials feel like they're being promoted rapidly enough compared with 17% of baby boomers who want promotions now. They also want to work in a culture that promotes diversity. When it comes to their workplace, millennials want to feel valued and appreciated for the work that they do and they want the company to make an effort to accommodate them. What Do Millennials Want From Their Companies? They also said that companies should think about how they're doing when it comes to gender diversity. They wanted more opportunities for women, as well as more equal pay across gender lines. Most millennials believe this is important on a societal level as well, which is why 52% of them said it's important to have female leaders in government and business.

Conclusion The survey found that millennials want to feel valued, respected and appreciated in their workplaces. They also want to be able to work from home, on the road or wherever they need to work in order to do their best for the company, but only 30% of employers provide such flexibility options. 43% of millennials say flexible scheduling is critical for employee engagement and 43% say flexible schedules are critical for future employment. They also want more training and development, which is critical for people who want more advancement opportunities in the workplace. The State of Mind of the Millennial BusinesspersonMillennials are everywhere these days and they're in charge of a growing number of companies and businesses.
