Ten Phenomenal Marketing Tactics
Purchasing ads on Google Adwords or Facebook can be an expensive and time-consuming endeavor, but we're here to offer some alternative methods to get your name out there. Below are ten phenomenal marketing tactics that you just might not have thought of yet!
1. Create a social media profile on sites like Youtube, Instagram, or Snapchat - these sites all boast enormous following with viewers checking in every day!
2. Take the opportunity to reach out to those who already like your business by sending them emails and asking for their input - this will allow you to see what they want from you which will help you know where to focus your business
3. Host events for your users - for example, if you run a pet-sitting business, you can host events at local libraries and pet stores to help meet new customers.
4. Hosting events helps in more ways than one! Not only will hosting events give you the opportunity to meet new people, it will also help strengthen the bond between your current customers and your company
5. Try setting up a booth during a big event that's related to your niche. For example, if you own a basketball camp, setting up shop at an area basketball tournament is sure to attract families!
6. Create a blog to keep your readers up-to-date on your work and events
7. Give people coupons for free products and services
8. Compile a list of testimonials - go through each customer who has bought from you and ask them to email you directly to let you know their experience with your business!
9. Host social media contests for the most likes, shares, or favorites gained (you might have to sign up for YouTube's official contest platform!).
10. Reach out to bloggers who write about your industry and offer an interview as well as an exclusive discount code they can give their readers.
Phew! Now that you've got these ideas brewing in your head, it's time to get to work! Remember that the best marketing strategy is one that works for you, so try out what fits best for your business and see how it goes!
Good luck!

I agree with most of these suggestions. For example, I have seen Facebook ads fail and they were not nearly as cheap as they once were. I run an affiliate marketing blog and offer free tips and strategies which can help people make more money online. However, most affiliates claim to be able to make thousands of dollars a month but forget to mention all the hard work it takes. They cannot just walk away from their computer and expect the money to roll in. It is a job so take it seriously. I wish you all the best! Reply Delete
You've pointed out some great marketing strategies here. It's also important not to focus on just one, even if you've found one that works well for your business. If you only use one form of marketing, your business can get stale quickly and fall behind competitors that are more active with their branding efforts. Reply Delete
You could say that I've done a few of these things, only more hardcore than your list. :) The most successful strategies for me have been my local SEO campaign and my Twitter/FB marketing. However, I haven't focused on any of these campaigns so much as they've helped me with other tactics. Reply Delete
Great article! It's too bad you didn't include contacting journalists (as in talking to reporters) to market your product/service as there is a huge demand for reporters looking for new sources in their respective field. Reply Delete
I have tried several of these things, with limited success. However, I have been successful at selling digital products on Amazon. The problem is getting people to your site in the first place. Reply Delete
Sure, writing an ebook and selling it on Amazon might be a good idea and a great opportunity for you to promote your website, but please remember that Ebay can also be a very good platform for promoting and selling ebooks. I've tried to sell an ebook on Amazon and it didn't work out well. Reply Delete
What if you blogged about your interest? Not just only how to make money online. Perhaps you could do an article every other week or so on how to get a raise at work, how to use Twitter, etc. That way, your blog becomes interesting and you're sharing lots of information that other people might enjoy reading about as well (information marketing). It's evergreen content. People will continue to find it even when you've stopped writing for years on end. Reply Delete
If you have a product or service that is suited to the masses, then you should consider creating a podcast. If you don't have a product or service to sell, then there are plenty of other types of podcasts. You can listen to others discuss their favorite music, movies and TV shows on iTunes by searching for "pod". Reply Delete
I find it amazing that you've taken on so much during your life. I wish success in all that you do! Reply Delete
I'm glad this article has given me some hope. I really hope things change and I could be the one person who's set up my own business with the right tools and technology and market it right. All of these suggestions sound so good...to start a business as a teen, have a website, social media accounts and more on the Internet...gods creation? God's gift for us human being? Reply Delete
My brother started his own business over 6 years ago with zero experience. He has a very successful company. So if you're interested in taking your career to the next level or want to be a CEO of your own company, start early and never stop learning! To be able to create an APP on the App Store can earn between $50,000-$150,000 per year. I know of a teen that is doing this with just an iPhone and a tablet. Reply Delete
You can sell your own products online. But I think that is a difficult thing to do. Humans are very social beings and we love sharing our thoughts with others. We have never thought about selling our own stuff, but it is the next step to becoming a millionaire. You can start small hobbies and then take it to different levels.
Conclusion : You need to develop your business idea, write it down and start working. Here is a good platform to start with: http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/business-website-design/ Reply Delete
I agree with you about the high cost of Facebook ads. I used them for my business and they were not very effective for me so I stopped using them. I created an ebook on how to make money online and I use it to teach my readers how to make money online too.
