The Golden Key to Success is in Your Hands, But You Ignore It!

Success is a word that many people throw around without even knowing what it means. Most people associate success with money, fame, power, or popularity. I believe that none of these things are any indication of true success.

The key to true and lasting success is consistently working towards your goals. You could have every material thing imaginable but if you're not happy then you will never feel as though you've achieved something worth while in life- no matter how much money you make or how famous or powerful you are in the eyes of others. The most important measure of success is being happy and contented with who I am and what I have done with my life thus far regardless of the outcome on any given day.

Getting up each day with the thought in mind that I will be successful and perhaps even happy for that day is what ultimately makes me a successful person. I do not define success by others standards, but by my own. Not everyone can become a doctor, or lawyer, or even a wealthy tycoon. But as long as you are happy and content with your lot in life there is no reason to change it!

The thing that makes most people successful is their ability to set goals and work towards them daily. Every morning I get up and set a goal for myself for the day. This can be anything from "make the bed today" to "go to the gym and exercise". Sometimes my goals are accomplished easily, while others are much more difficult. But I find that if I don't make a goal for myself then I won't accomplish anything throughout the day. That makes me feel as though my day is wasted because I didn't try hard enough to reach one of my goals.

When you're able to set goals that you know you're going to reach then you can go about your day feeling accomplished since you reached your goal! If a goal isn't being met by the end of the day then maybe it should be adjusted so that it is more realistic or perhaps it is changed completely.

My biggest goal of each day is to be happy and positive. I never want to get up in the morning with the thought of "ugh another day". When you wake up in a good mood and you're happy then you can help others around you to be the same! Being happy is contagious, people will gravitate towards you. The more positive people there are in the world then that makes it a better place to live!

I work as a banquet manager at my local country club. My job involves being around many different kinds of people on a daily basis, some nice, some not so nice. I try to keep my emotions in check even though there are lots of people who don't bother to be nice to me.

I'm not saying that all people can be noble and constantly smile in order to make others happy, but I do find that when I find myself smiling to myself that others will gravitate towards me. It's a subtle thing, but it makes a world of difference! If you're constantly negative and being sad then it will rub off on people around you and you'll start being negative too!

Another way I work towards my goals daily is with the help of my journal. Every morning before I go about my day I write down what I plan on accomplishing for the day. I have a small journal that I keep in my purse at all times so that I can write down anything that pops into my head.

I figure this will help me stay focused on what I want to accomplish during the day. If something comes up during the day that brings me happiness or sadness then I can jot it down and work on getting over it when I'm done for the day. It helps me to deal with whatever situation I am faced with each day rather than keeping everything bottled up inside of me and becoming depressed about it. Sometimes writing our problems out helps us to be less emotional about them.

The last step in my daily routine of being successful is by keeping a gratitude journal. This is a journal that I use to write down all of the things that go well in my life each day. It may be as simple as making the bed, or getting a good grade on a test. I try to find at least 5 things that went well in my day and write them down.

This helps me to keep count of how many good things there are each day! This helps me to feel happy and content with what I have accomplished in my life so far. I don't have to be unhappy with what I have since there are so many good things that have happened in my life already.

My job is one of the best jobs in the world for me. I get paid very well and I love working there! The people are all very nice and always treat me with respect and dignity, and I like that. But even if my job was horrible, it wouldn't really matter all too much because I know that it would be temporary while I'm in college so it won't really matter how many hours a week I work if I'm in school to obtain my degree.

I also have many family members and friends who I can count on no matter what! I'm very fortunate to have them in my life and I am forever indebted to them for all that they've done for me.

Last but not least, my health is important to me. I take care of myself by eating healthy foods and exercising each day. If I don't take care of the body that lives inside of me then how can I be successful? Being healthy is so important because it will make your body feel better, you'll sleep better, and your mind will feel clear. This helps you to be able to concentrate more on your goals throughout the day!

So there you have it...5 steps that I do every day to be successful! It has taken me years of hard work, but I finally feel as though I have accomplished it! Good luck on your own goals and thank you for reading!
