Favorite tools?
Always learning and looking for new tools - here are a few I use every day: Scribe for Twitter, Hootsuite for social media, Viralwoot for content production, Google Analytics and GA360, Hubspot for blog traffic...just to name a few. :) Reply Delete
Hi all! Another great article by Joe! The thing is that you listed some amazing tools (and where can I sign up to get my hands on them?!) but what I find most important is the WHY behind why you use these tools. For example, my favorite tool is Google Analytics. I have tried a lot of other analytics tools, but I always return to GA. Why? Because of the many insights it provides me with that no other tool can provide. It's really really not about the tools themselves - it's about what you can do with them. And the best thing is that you can build on top of them. You can use some of Joe's tools to grow your Twitter profile or blog traffic, or you can use those to get new customers and grow your business! Reply Delete
What a great list! These days I'd be hard pressed to find a list like this as comprehensive as this one... Great read! Reply Delete
I have a few tools that I have been using for months now, and I think everyone should check out one or two as well. My favorite "power tools" are definitely MailChimp and Aweber (email marketing), HootSuite (social media), Facebook Insights (analytics), Mention (for mentions on Twitter), BuzzSumo (content marketing) and Intercom (contact us page). There are some other ones, but these are the ones that stand out the most to me. Reply Delete
I like to use Google Analytics because it is so easy to use. It makes it easier to grow your business and you can customize your reports to fit your needs. Reply Delete
I'm not a fan of apps, so I don't use them regularly - but I find that Hootsuite is great for scheduling posts on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Reply Delete
Hi Joe! Your article is so good. I like it because you recommend some tools that are not so popular but working well. For example: Editorially It's a great tool for content marketers. I just started using it and I love it! It's easy to use and gives you a lot of reports and analytics about your content. My favorite tool is definitely the Intercom . I'm using it to engage with website visitors and customers. Reply Delete
Hi Joe, Great article! I work with a lot of local businesses that don't have a big budget so the best tools for them are usually free. Although there are some really great free tools out there, I think the best way to get your business growing online is through the use of paid services like Hubspot, Hootsuite and Buffer. The problem with paid services is you can get stuck paying month after month if you aren't working hard at growing your business. I recommend starting with Buffer , Hootsuite and Hubspot for your paid services. I think one of the most important parts in growing your business online is to manage your time effectively. Your time is the most valuable resource you have, so make sure you are using it to it's fullest potential! Reply Delete
I'm not crazy about apps either, but I use Buffer for both Twitter and Facebook. It has made my social media life much easier! It automates posting so I can just schedule posts ahead of time and don't have to worry about anything at that point. Reply Delete

I use Gmail as my email client just because I'm used to it. Reply Delete
This is a great list of tools! I always keep Post Planner handy when starting up new sites. Also, my favorite tool is Photoshop. I love using it to create graphics and images! Reply Delete
Thanks for this - some great tools there. I particularly like Intercom as a quick way to see what's going on with your site without spamming people with emails that are too generic. Reply Delete

I have a few that I use every day. My favorite right now is Trello. It's a great tool for keeping track of all the different tasks you might have to do during the working day and it's easy to get your team on board. Reply Delete
Thanks for sharing this article. I'm a big fan of Hootsuite, especially the social streams visualisation of all your activity and stats. This has helped me cut down on my time spent fiddling with my desktop and made me more productive at work :) Reply Delete
I'm not so sure about Facebook Insights as an analytics tool, as it seems to be missing some key pieces of data like comments, likes/dislikes etc...
Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed the tools list and you were able to find a few useful in your business. If you have any more to add, please let us know in the comments below!
