Top 10 Tips For A Successful Network Marketing Presentation
2016 just ended, and it's time to start thinking about your future. If you've ever thought about becoming a successful Network Marketing Consultant, now is the time to act. In this post, we have compiled 10 of our most favorite tips for giving successful Network Marketing presentations - whether your goal is recruitment or product sales, these are what will become staples in your arsenal as an MLM consultant.
If you're looking for some valuable insight into how to get more business or sell more items with less effort, this is the blog post for you! First off:
1) Practice Makes Perfect
This may seem obvious but sometimes people forget this crucial step before they go into their presentation. Practicing makes you more confident in your skills and your ability to give the right information to the right people at the right time.
2) Go Through The Script First
I've had some salespeople give their presentation without first going through their script. This is a big mistake, because they run the risk of forgetting parts of their pitch during their "live" rotation. Make sure you practice your presentation first to make sure it flows smoothly and that you know all of the points that are going to be included in it.
3) Don't Go For Quantity Over Quality A good rule to follow when pitching is - if you're going to ask someone for something, make sure that that something is actually important. This means that you should learn about the people you're talking to and make sure the product or service you're trying to sell is something that they really need. If it's not, don't bother pitching it, because there will be a greater chance of them saying no.
4) Don't Get Confused About Who You Are And What You Do We know that every company has their own unique niche in the market, so they can cater towards specific groups of people within their potential market - For example, Avon is going to focus on women and Tupperware is going to focus on housewives who are in charge of buying groceries. It sounds obvious, but you will notice that a lot of people pitch their product or service to the general market instead of specifically to those who they feel it's relevant for.
5) Stay Positive And Stay Relevant - Don't pitch something that your consumers aren't interested in. If you pitch something and your prospect doesn't respond with enthusiasm, don't waste your time pitching it again later on (this is called "pitching twice"). Find out why they didn't react as you wanted them to by asking them questions and getting feedback from them. You can always resend the same email later if you didn't get a good response the first time, but don't waste your time explaining things multiple times that your prospects don't want.
6) Be Yourself Whenever you're pitching to someone, it's important that they can see you being yourself. Don't try and act like some tough guy or woman who is a good salesperson, because you'll come across as fake and fakey. You also need to be confident in yourself as a person, not just as a salesperson - many people can sell products that they don't really want or need but the real key is that they believe in those products and things themselves first off.
7) Make Sure To Listen You can often tell how well someone pitches their product or service based on how well they listen. People who talk but don't listen to the person they are talking to are going to have little success when it comes to pitching. This is a big mistake that rookie salespeople make and if you're an experienced salesperson, I would highly recommend reading this article on how to be a better listener .
8) Practice For Reinforcement - You need a positive reinforcement whenever you do something that's going to help you in your future. This can either be done by yourself (by writing down what you want improve on and then working on it) or by getting advice from your upline or local MLM community.
9) Know What Your Prospects Are Telling You Let's say you're pitching a new supplement and your prospect tells you that they want to lose weight. Well, if you're selling a weight loss product, this is great news for you because the more people who are looking to lose weight the better. However, if they tell you that they want to lose 5 pounds (like many people will say when they don't actually want to lose 5 pounds), then it's probably not going to be as beneficial for your pitch. This is a good time for you to ask questions about their goals in regards to losing weight or getting fit too.
10) Don't Ever Give Up Sometimes you're going to fail, and that's okay. For example, I had a couple of prospects tell me straight up that they aren't interested in what I'm selling and it's up to me whether I want to try again with them or not. Instead of feeling bad, I always tell myself that "we're only 1 human interaction away from making a sale". If that prospect had said yes to my product or service, then of course I would have tried again if they had told me no - but if you never try then you'll never know!
Pursuing your goals and dreams is all about taking action when it comes down to it. However, you must know how to effectively pitch your ideas, products and services in order to reach those goals. It's very difficult at first, but the more you practice then the easier it will become. It all comes down to who you are as a person and how much passion and belief you have in yourself as a salesperson.
