What Not To Do With Your Business Cards!
Did your newest batch of business cards arrive with a smudge? Do you have some left over that you don't need? The blog below tells you what not to do with them.
Let's say you're in a meeting and one of your cards falls out of your pocket or gets crushed under the chair. Maybe someone accidentally spilled their water on it at lunch, or maybe they're at the bottom of your purse where all the dirt is. In any of these cases, what should you do?
You could:
shred it and throw it away (that would make the most sense), or
fold it up into a paper airplane and fly it over the edge of your desk for fun, or...
turn them into an origami UFO!
These little UFOs are super easy to make! If you can make a simple paper airplane (watch this awesome video on folding perfect paper airplanes if you need help) then you can make a UFO.
Now your business card is a little UFO...
...and that's it! Your business card has a very cool new look to it. Have fun with this one!
Also, you can use this technique in combination with other origami games and activities. Try playing the game of Paper Chase for example.

Here is a cute gift idea for kids that can be used as part of your Easter baskets, or as a fun way to send your child off to school on Valentine's Day. These little origami heart boxes are easy enough for anyone (even children) to make and they are really cute, especially when they're filled! Fun and easy paper craft gift idea. Heart Boxes Tutorial Use red or pink construction paper.
Take a square piece of paper. Fold in half vertically then horizontally to create a rectangle.
Fold the bottom part up by bringing the left side to the right and tuck it under. Fold the top flap down. Then open out the folds and bring them down to meet at the center of your rectangle.
Pre-folding before you start so that your heart is formed into two equal lobes (just like an anatomical heart). The trickiest part of this is getting each lobe to be equal so that you can make a good shape for your heart box when unfolded.
A completed heart box. Measure the width and length of your heart then cut out some paper to be the same size. Cut a slit the same width as your paper's width (for wrapping around) and glue or tape it shut.
The box opens up like this!
Fill with treats or candies or a treat for a child's lunch. You can paint or color on the heart box to make it look pretty too! You could even add a ribbon and embellishments for that extra sparkle.
