10 Critical Decisions for Successful E-discovery Part 2
The next 5 critical decisions are:
1. Understand where to store the data – Considering that an organization could be on the hook for $2M if they lose just one relevant document, it's worth understanding both your own storage policies and what others in the industry are doing.
2. Understand how you'll use encrypted information – Encryption is a great way to prevent sensitive information from falling into the wrong hands, but encryption can also make e-discovery difficult and expensive because of the extra time, effort and expertise it requires to read encrypted files.
3. Implement a digital forensics strategy that can survive legal scrutiny – A digital forensic strategy should be able to easily turn into an "I told you so" moment if the scope of an organization's media storage is limited or if it becomes apparent that the organization has been compromised.
4. Avoid e-discovery disasters – The most common disaster in e-discovery is a lack of relevant data, but it's also important to avoid e-discovery disasters which can take years to discover, including data destruction and destruction by accident.
5. Reset your digital footprint – Keeping copies of your data, on paper and in electronic systems, will reduce the risk that you'll need to search for information again.

Conclusion
My first night with the 4C was an eye opening experience. I will definitely be spending more time with it to learn more about its features and capabilities; such as the many apps that are available to download from the App Store, or the unique 5-point multi-touch gestures used for controlling media and surfing websites. The large display makes long web browsing sessions pleasurable, even though I do have to double tap on some links since my eyes have been unable to adjust to iPhone's smaller screen.
I am looking forward to see other improvements that are done with future products in this category. Apple has definitely added a new dimension into our daily lives.
