Antispyware Or Spyware?

 Antispyware Or Spyware?

Spyware is just software that tracks what you do on your computer, and it is designed to be hidden so nobody knows it's there. It can steal your passwords, your bank account information, the names of all the files on your computer and more.
Hackers use spyware to locate valuable data they can use for identity theft or make illegal copies of software programs and distribute them.

Antispyware looks for spyware in order to get rid of it (pretty self explanatory). If you're not sure which one you need, download some free antispyware/antivirus software like AVG. They will scan your computer for both types of malware automatically!

PROGRAMS
There are two types of spyware on your computer: spy programs and tracking cookies. Spy programs can track everything you do on your computer, and they can also take control of your webcam and microphone at any time. Tracking cookies collect your data every time you visit a website (such as what web pages you looked at or what products you viewed).
COOKIES
Cookies are small files of text that a website stores in a special file on your computer, so the next time you visit the site, it can figure out who you are based on data stored in the cookie. These cookies can contain information such as your name, your social security number, or other personal information. They can also track your computer's movements and its activities.
ANTIVIRUS
Antivirus software protects you from viruses and other types of malware. It scans all the programs on your computer and makes sure they are safe and not harmful to your computer or data. Antivirus software can prevent viruses from spreading to other parts of the Internet without your permission (just like a firewall).
ANTI-SPYWARE
Antispyware goes through your computer looking for hidden programs that are collecting information about you. It can delete these programs, but it can't always tell you what information they have collected.
Anti-spyware can also search for tracking cookies and can usually tell if they have taken information from you. However, it doesn't get rid of them - it just tells you that they are there. Therefore, anti-spyware and anti-virus software are both needed to protect your computer from harmful malware.

WAREZ
warez is a type of software piracy where the pirated copy of a program is shared through the Internet with other people. The purpose of warez is to distribute copies of software without paying rights to its developer.
In order for your computer to detect and remove spyware, you will need an anti-malware program that can be downloaded from a third party website. There are many good FREE anti-spyware programs available, but there are also paid programs that offer more sophisticated protection.

The specific malware discussed here is called SillyFinder, a spyware program that is capable of logging into your web browser and other programs on your computer.

The above leads to the conclusion that although spyware has been around since the late 1990s and has been evolving by leaps and bounds in recent years, it has yet to be contained nor eradicated.

The Spyware Industry Association (SIA) was established in 2002 as a voluntary self-regulatory body designed to set standards of good practice and promote public awareness of the issues surrounding legitimate and/or illegitimate software applications.

Conclusion:

In the beginning of 2013, a group called The International Spyware Research (ISR) announced that it had developed software that can detect and remove spyware. The software is called X-Spyware. ISR created an anti-spyware program based on their research into the spyware industry and has been 12 years in the making.
