 Because I Was A Sucker

Ever since I was a kid, I've been great at persuading people to buy things. There's always so many people that would fall for it because they just couldn't resist me. That is, until one day when my older sister finally put her foot down and told me that I shouldn't try to take advantage of people.

It was a tough lesson for me and it took some time, but eventually I learned how to be honest with others without manipulating them all the time. My relationship with friends and family has never been better! You can learn more about honesty versus manipulation in this post!

Title: I Can't Believe It Happened!

When I was a kid, I used to love going to McDonald's because that's where all the cool kids went. It wasn't enough for me to go there just to eat though; I saw it as an opportunity for me to meet other kids and make friends. That is, until one day when my friend told me "It's not cool if you're always hanging out with your mom. Just stop doing this. People are going to start making fun of you."

The end of the friendship was hard for me, but I eventually realized that my friend was right. I'm glad that I didn't get into all the trouble that some kids did, like being called a "McLovin" or starting a fight with someone, but it still hurts when someone else tells me what to do in front of my own mom. Be careful about hanging out with other kids as well as adults! You can read more about mind control here!

Title: Because It Was My Fault!

I've always had a bad habit of taking advantage of sales. I would buy things that I wouldn't need just because they were on sale and then just end up not using them. But when I became a teenager, I thought that there was nothing wrong with it. Anytime my mom asked me why I was making these kinds of purchases, my response was "Because they were on sale." Eventually, my mom got tired of it and told me to stop buying things just because they were on sale.

Conclusion #1: Whenever sales are involved, be aware of the reason why you want to buy something.

Conclusion #2: Be aware of how many products you buy just because they're on sale.
