How to Design A Professional Brochure for Your Business [ARTICLE] - posted in Graphic Design and Prints for Sale : I love designing brochures for small businesses big idea service . How do you make sure your brochure stands out?  Making your brochure look like an art piece is a good start, but what else can you do to make sure you really get attention and present the information on your brochure in the best possible way? When creating a brochure it’s important to consider these design elements. Presentation    First and foremost, present your company or organization in an aesthetically pleasing manner. You want the reader to be visually pleased with the content of what they are reading since a glance or two is all it takes for someone to make up their mind about whether or not they like what they see. There are no rules when it comes to the layout of your printed material, but keep in mind that many times you want to consider these elements: • Words should be placed in an attractive font, color and size. As with imagery, there are no rules here; just look at other brochures and see what works for you. • You can draw attention to sections of text by using a different font or style than the main body of text. Your brochure should be visually appealing and easy on the eyes. Use good design principles while creating your printed material.
The flow is imperative, as it is the glue that holds everything together. If a document or presentation feels uneven or choppy, it will not be taken seriously. Even the most boring subject material can be made interesting by well-designed brochures, while great content in a poorly-designed brochure will not be well received. The length of your brochure should match the information that you are presenting. If you are trying to sell a product, for example, you don't need to include a full business history. Be sure to keep it short and sweet and get down to the point as quickly as possible. Color    Colors can have different meanings and depending on your audience, certain colors can send out specific messages that you may or may not want. When designing your brochure, consider your company color scheme and make sure that the colors you choose are appropriate. If you are going for a professional look and not one that is friendly or inviting, then it may be best to stick with muted tones and pastels. On the other hand, if you want your brochure to come across as friendly and personal, then going with light colors like yellows or golds may work best. Places to Use  Choose a location on your brochure that is easy to read when placed on a desk, table or countertop. It’s also good if the space itself can be easily photographed in order to provide an online promotional product such as a website or social media page with great imagery.
If you are selling a product online, don't forget to include a return address and contact information.
