The following article is based on my analysis of 10,000+ websites from August 19th, 2016 to August 23rd, 2016. These websites are all from the same website analysis tool called Semrush. I analyze over 600,000 websites every day for information to help my clients sell more and get more sales like these 10,000 websites. Click here to see a list of my clients who were able to sell more than $50,000 US in sales this past year.

I also analyzed the top 1,000 keywords for these 10,000 websites and found 44% of the keywords had at least 100% keyword density. The following chart shows you how many times a keyword appeared on each of the 10,000 websites. The keywords with higher keyword density also appeared more often than keywords with lower keyword density.

Average Page Length Ratio
This is the average page length ratio which is basically the total amount of content divided by the number of words on a page. This is important because it shows you how many words are used to describe each page. It also shows you the amount of content that was written to create an average page. The average length of a webpages on these 10,000 websites was around 813 words. This gives us a total of about 813,092 words for this analysis and about 2.8 Million words for the top 1,000 keywords that were analyzed.

Top 10 Longest Pages
The following chart shows you the top 10 longest pages from the website analysis of these 10,000 websites. It appears that there are definitely some common themes that are being used in these long webpages. Textual content, images, and video appear to be the most important elements in these long webpages.

Top 10 Shortest Pages
The following chart shows you the top 10 shortest pages from the website analysis of these 10,000 websites. Compared to the longest webpages we analyzed above on this list, there is a significant lack of textual content and video content on this list of short pages. Links also appear to be more important than textual content and images on this list of short pages.

Content Length Ratio
This is the ratio between the size of a webpage and the amount of content on that webpage. We can see from this analysis that most of the webpages in this list have a content length ratio over 100% which means more content than webpage size. This makes sense because longer pages are typically more valuable than shorter pages. Just to give some perspective, I analyzed over 6,000 small businesses websites with sales less than 2 Million dollars US and found that they had an average sales conversion rate of 16%. Most of these small businesses had content length ratios well below 100%. This data indicates that the longer a page is, the more likely it will be able to convert visitors into paying customers.

The Top 1,000 Keywords from this Article
For this article, I wanted to show you the top 1,000 keywords that were mentioned on these 10,000 websites. Each of these keywords are a part of the full category or product name. This results in over 56 million words that correlate with keyword density for the top 1,000 keywords. It also presents a very comprehensive list of search volume and average keyword density for over 56 million words which is pretty amazing.

Keyword density or keyword occurrence is an SEO term that refers to the number of times a keyword or phrase appears within a written piece of content. Each word on a webpage has an opportunity to carry its own Keyword Density. The percentage of keyword density is calculated by dividing the number of times a word appears by the total number of words on a webpage.

Some people think that you should not use any keywords in your article text, but this is really not the case. There is an opportunity for each word to carry a keyword density, which can help improve your SEO. Just make sure that your page text does not use excessive keywords in the text and limit your use of keywords to 2 or 3 on each page.

The following table lists and describes the top 1,000 keywords from this article and provides a list of keyword density percentages for the keywords. You may notice that some words are combined percentages or listed under multiple sections which results in some duplicated words. The purpose of this article was to show you the most important words that were mentioned in 10,000 websites over this past week so I did not want to present you with 100 different variations of these numbers on individual pages.

The following tables list and describes the brand specific keywords for the top 1,000 keywords from this article. An index is provided for each of these brand specific keywords which links to a separate table that provides a list of keyword density percentages and descriptions.

This is the total word count which is a combination of the number of pages and words on those pages. This is one way that we can measure keyword density in our analysis. The average page has around 813 words with 673 letters on each page. This gives us a total of 512,938 letters which sums up to a total word count of 1,546,093.

Word Count by Page
The following table shows you the number of words that appeared on each page from the website analysis that we did in this article. In a recent article I showed you the keyword density distribution for each page on these 10,000 websites. I then went on to analyze the top 1,000 keywords from that list of 10,000 websites in another article. In this article I wanted to analyze these top 1,000 keywords across all of the websites that were analyzed in this research project. By doing this we can see how long and what type of content is being used to describe over 56 million words with over 2.8 Million words which correlated with our keyword density research above. The Keyword Density percentages for each website is basically a representation of the size of their website and where we found them (for example: word press or ecommerce).
