 Dramatic Advertising That Sells

Advertising can be an art form as well as an act of persuasion, and if you’re looking for something to freshen up your advertising game, these brilliant examples might inspire your next campaign.

But don’t take our word for it — check out these stunning examples that have been put together by AdAge.

1. This clever campaign for the Vodafone Egypt, which featured a deep-fried phone.

You have to wonder how it tasted. Probably not great, but who cares when the point is so well made?

2. And then there’s this brilliant Danish campaign that was a parody of an ad that was designed to make fun of Danish men and their inability to say no when it comes to sex, booze and cigarettes. Pretty catchy stuff.

3. This advertisement for the Nokia Lumia 800 created a beach made up of over 750,000 real grains of sand.

4. And then there’s this brand-new commercial recently released by Nintendo. It was a teaser for the Nintendo 3DS, but it featured a 3D version of the iconic Nintendo character Mario jumping out at us from inside an ordinary piece of cardboard. Like we said — pretty awesome.

5. Another fabulous campaign with literally no words involved came courtesy of the Spanish beer brand Estrella Damm, which created this incredible ad that was all about numbers and shapes.

6. This bizarre ad for the Ford Ka, which was played out inside the car itself.

7. And then there’s this heartwarming ad that Sony created in support of its 'BRAVIA' TV range. The commercial featured a little girl called Moeko that was deaf, along with her father. At first, the pair don’t seem to be able to communicate — until Moeko hears her dad's voice on a Sony product, at which point she can finally respond to him properly for the first time ever.

8. These ads for iPod were absolutely brilliant — and so funny too!

9. And we love this one too — a tongue-in-cheek comedy inspired by the late 80s, in which Prince Charles tells us how he’s not gay.

10. Or this ad that was actually created by 12 people and featured the voice of Lady Gaga singing the last three lines of her hit song Poker Face — a song that came out in 2011. Pretty cool.

So now you know what to do with your creative juices when you get back to work on Monday morning, right?

Title: 10 Crazy Guinness World Records That Will Blow Your Mind

From the producers of Guinness World Records comes the ultimate record-breaking show, Guinness World Records 2012 , which debuts Friday, September 14 at 8 pm on NBC .

To celebrate this amazing episode of Guinness World Records 2012 , we're counting down our top 10 favorite records from the book. From most expensive pizza in history to longest fingernails ever, here are 10 records that will blow your mind!

#10: Most People in a Sandwich

It's no simple matter to get 300 people into one sandwich -- even if everyone is standing up. A group of sandwich-makers in France, Ukraine and Germany actually sit down to eat the record-breaking 300 people in a single sandwich. To accomplish this task, they needed to fit 684 pizzas into a custom-built machine before folding them into 150 layers of white bread. And there's more: After filling the sandwiches full of people, they need to figure out a way to fold over the edges of the bread so that no one gets stuck in the middle. As you can imagine, it takes between 4 and 5 hours for them to finish the job.

Conclusion: The sandwich-makers in this group weren't the first to ever try and make a sandwich with 300 people, but they're the ones who created the record-breaking world-record sandwich.

#9: World's Biggest Pizza

In 1989, a team from Guinness World Records traveled to the town of Montichiari in the Italian region of Lombardy. There, they presented Papa Gino DePizzo with two pizzas: one large and one very large--and said that he had to choose which was his favorite. He chose the big one.
