"The Secret Report?"

The Secret Report? is a website that, according to the website's description, "reveals the truth about how people really earn money." On their homepage, the site offers a headline which asks the question "Are You Making This Financial Mistake?" The answer to this question is followed by an equally-asked one: "Where are all of your customers?"

In order to find out more about The Secret Report? and just exactly what it entails, I decided to read through its website. The first section of its homepage starts off with explaining just what 'secret report' it is — that being a report on how people make money online. The report analyzes the revenue of the top 1,000 websites and blogs on the internet, so as to find out more about how people make money. Following this, the website goes on a quick tangent and asks if you are making this "earning mistake."

Considering that I am an internet marketer myself, I quite enjoyed this section. The website suggests that if you are making an earning mistake then there is a chance for you to change what you are doing in order to try and earn more money. The website claims that its job is to "spill the beans," with no sugar coating whatsoever. It also goes on to say that there are no shortcuts to making money online, with earning being all about hard work. After this, the website goes on to share its thoughts with you on where all your customers are.

I found some of the information in the report pretty interesting. My main problem with the website is that it seems to base everything off of Google Analytics data. In fact, you can start right here if you want to read through The Secret Report?s own analysis on GA data and how it relates to earning money online. The thing is, GA data isn't exactly 100% accurate in my eyes. It is of course possible to extract some useful information from it — and The Secret Report? does just this — but I think that it is limiting to base everything off of this.

Outside of this, there are a few other changes that I would personally make. For instance, the website states that blogs can only bring in an average of $10 per month for you. On the other hand, the website compares this to a blog earnings report from last year which claims that blogs can earn an average of $300 per month. The question here is one of comparison: which is more relevant? The $10 or the $300?

In my eyes, both figures are pretty relevant. I am sure that there are plenty of blogs out there that are earning the $10 per month, but I am also sure that there are plenty of blogs out there that are earning significantly more than this. I think that it's a bit unfair to put such a small number on something when it could quite easily be much, much higher.

Overall though, The Secret Report? is a pretty interesting read. It might serve as inspiration for you to look at what you are doing right now and try and change some things in order to increase your earnings. In any case, you can definitely click here to read through The Secret Report?s own analysis on Google Analytics.

- Jordan Carter, Web Marketer & Online Entrepreneur

Sunday, June 11th, 2014 @ 11:49 AM MDTHi All, I just wanted to share a conversation I had with my friend Lisa. As one of my best friends has become what some might consider as ill-informed and that has created a rift between us. She has recently started doing some online marketing and was making money online and was not using the resources that were freely offered to her. She was very resistant to take an action of joining my BNI group, which I tried to make it very easy for her to just do a simple phone call and sign up with one of the members that would introduce her to people in other industries. I told her she didn't have to be a member until she is ready.
Later, she said that I don't want her money but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to share the knowledge of all my years experience in this field and help her start making money online because it was never about the money between us. I told her that I would not just help anyone, but the right people with a right heart. She started criticizing me on my businesses, and I explained to her that what businesses I have are in business to make a profit and even if I was helping you for free, it does not mean that your business will be successful. My businesses can only be successful if something is done correctly which is why there are so many information products on the market today.
I also mentioned how when you don't know anything about the internet marketing world and how it works, it's very easy to fall into the traps of people wanting you to trust them so they can rip you off. But when you are willing to study and learn and work, it is not so easy to rip you off. I also told her that what she was complaining about in the past was just a small amount of money but when she chose to research online, she could earn a lot more and be able to do the things she wanted. I said that it's okay for her to be making less at the moment because of all the learning she has done. To ask for help is not bad because we can always learn from others experiences. To ask for help when you are not ready is bad because people are always ready with an answer but not always prepared with a full answer. I told her that I was not perfect and there is always room for improvement. I am so grateful that I have the people I do in my life because they are more concerned about how to help then how much money they can make out of it. I don't need a lot of money to live, but it sure makes things easier.
I am so glad that Lisa has learned from this experience and has taken the next step by joining BNI with some friends of mine and getting involved with helping others as well as herself. I am grateful that she is making the effort to help ME make money online so I can support myself and my other businesses and not always try to rely on others for what I need. I hope everyone can learn from this article, no matter what industry or job you are in. If you are not willing to learn then you will never be successful. So go study, go research and go BE GREAT!
