What You Should Know About Postcards

In this article, we're going to explore postcards and what they can do for your business.

When a potential customer sees that you sent them a postcard, they have an immediate feeling of connection with your business. They know you took the time to send them something personal; not just some mass-produced piece of garbage that will most likely be tossed in the trash can without much thought.
This personal touch is what allows customers to form a genuine relationship with your company. When someone purchases from you after receiving one of their beautiful postcards, they'll feel like they got exactly what they wanted and more so because it was personalized for them.
Postcards should be a frequent part of your marketing efforts. In fact, I'd say they should be the cornerstone of your entire marketing campaign. This is especially true if you are still trying to attract new customers. Sending out postcards to potential customers via snail mail can help increase sales by a great amount.
Your postcards should aim at bringing in new clients and getting existing ones to spend more. You may want to include an offer on the front of the card like "Buy one, get one free" or something similar that it easily noticed by someone looking at your postcard for the first time. Try to use the same color scheme and design as your website so customers are reminded of your company when they see the card.
You may also want to include a little information about your business. It's not necessary, but it's polite to include something like "We are a small family-owned business that has been around for over 30 years" in the back of the card. It's also nice if you include some contact information in case someone has any questions about the postcard.
When you send out postcards, always make sure that there is at least 500 pieces of mail in every batch sent to ensure you get a response from everyone on your list.
No matter what message you're trying to send with your postcard, always make sure that your company's logo or name is easily noticed on the card. Nothing looks worse to a potential customer than having no idea where the postcard came from.
If you want to use a discount, make sure it's easy for customers to fill out on the card. For example, they shouldn't have to cut off a coupon or write out a long code that they need to enter at checkout. Try using built-in discounts instead of coupons so customers don't have any trouble using them in order to save money when shopping.
When mailing postcards, always try and mail in batches as opposed to one-off mailings. This is because you'll get better results if you include multiple postcards in every batch.
There are many different aspects of your business that can be sent through the mail. Postcards are a great way to advertize your business and reach customers who would otherwise miss seeing your ad on TV or the internet. Be sure to use this valuable advertising resource to its fullest potential!

Dear Pinterest Fans, There are many times when Pinterest can be a great source of inspiration. Today we're going to take a closer look at using Pinterest as a marketing tool to help you get more traffic to your blog or to increase sales.     On average, the most viewed posts on my blog are related to travel and inspiration. A few years ago I decided that I wanted to start featuring more practical information, so I cut back on my use of Pinterest as an inspiration tool and also took an additional step in updating my blog's content on a regular basis.  Since that time, I've seen a steady stream of traffic and more sales.
Pinterest is a great resource for visual inspiration and one of my favorite aspects of Pinterest is the option to pin from an image as opposed to writing text or making an image from scratch. People often pin images that are related to their interests, hobbies, or personal experience. Wikipedia describes Pinterest as being about "Collecting thoughts, ideas, pictures and links". I find it interesting how some people will use Pinterest on a regular basis because they find it useful for finding ideas for future projects or their lives in general. Over the past few years I've seen the number of people using Pinterest rise tremendously.    Visit my Pinterest profile to see some of the images that I've pinned.
The most common reason for using Pinterest is to gather inspiration for a specific interest or project. Some people, however, use Pinterest as an online bulletin board to help them organize their life and keep track of different ideas and concepts. Every time you make a pin you are publishing it on your website, which creates more traffic to your website and is also useful if you want to attract a wider audience. To get started with Pinterest, first make sure that your users can sign up for an account. Next, choose which boards you want featured on your homepage by selecting them from the board list area on the right side of your home page. I've seen several people use Pinterest as a central place to manage all of their blog posts, so choosing the right boards can really help you attract more page views.
After you've selected your boards, pin images that are related to your blog or your personal interests (I pinned images on my blog related to health and fitness). Then click "Pin It" on the image and copy the link. This way other people and Google will know that this post is about that picture. Next, you can repin other images by clicking the "+1" button in the bottom left corner of each image. Try adding a caption to each pin by clicking on "Edit" on the top of each image and typing some short description.

Now that you have your Pinterest account set up, you can start using it as a marketing tool to attract new readers to your blog or website. Here are a few techniques to help you do this:
1. Add some of the links to your posts on different boards that relate to the content of the post and then let people know about those posts via Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter or however else you want people to find out about that particular post.  2. Post an image related to a new product and then include the link in your description as a way of getting more sales from interested readers. 3. Post a picture that makes people want to comment or share it. 4. Pin images related to specific posts on your blog.  5. Include the Pins from your Amazon Associate account in your Pinterest pins and then let people know that they can find that product via Pinterest.

Pinning images and videos on Pinterest isn't only beneficial for businesses, either! If you're a blogger, you can use Pinterest as a way to get traffic to your blog and make more sales (cough cough, cough).

Conclusion
The world has changed a lot since I first started blogging, but one thing remains the same: people love to read blogs. Good social media marketing can help you convert readers into customers, which means that you can set yourself up for an online income for years and years to come!     So be sure to use the advice in this article, especially when you're choosing which social media outlets will best fit your demographic. There are so many options in terms of content platforms, so choose whatever works best for your readers! Remember: a good blog post is worth its weight in gold.
