Write Keyword Articles and get more traffic

Keyword articles are just a part of the puzzle. Without on-page SEO and off-page SEO your website is risking a lot. And if you're serious about making more money with your business, this article will help you start!

We're going to teach you from ground up just how to start with keyword research, then we'll cover which tools can help you find keyword ideas for content marketing campaigns, and finally we'll share some of our favorite resources for executing search engine optimization at scale. Hopefully this helps explain why keyword articles are so important in the grand scheme of things. With any luck by the end of this post your business should be better equipped to generate quality content that's also well optimized for search engines.

What is Keyword Research?

Keyword research is the process of finding which words and phrases people are using to search on Google and other search engines. Once you identify a viable keyword, you know what your audience wants to buy the most. That's when you can start creating content around your target keyword. This is the whole point! Creating content around a specific keyword makes it easier for search engines to find that content and rank it highly in their results pages because it is relevant to their users' needs.

To see an example of a website that is optimized well for keywords, take a look at my favorite jeans company here: www.truereligionjeansoutletstores.us/ .

They have a page specifically for keywords related to "true religion jeans outlet" and it is optimized very well in Google. I don't know what their SEO budget is, but they are currently ranking on the first page of Google for this phrase. The more traffic that comes from search engines to your website, the more money you make.

If you want to start with basic keyword research, you should check out these free tools . There are many free keyword research tools available online but these are our favorites because they're easy to use and get the job done:

1) KWFinder – This free keyword tool from Kyle Loudoun gives you a number of suggestions and also calculates how many global searches each month it gets. Some of these include: "Best Vape Box Mods 2016", "Diy Face Lace Wigs", "Funny Interview Questions To Ask Online", and much more! The best part is, if you have a website or blog that is even mildly popular, it will give you very high search volume numbers for any keyword you enter. It has become significantly more useful in recent years since Google started banning people from using specific keyword phrases as a result. So if you want to be in Google's good graces, I recommend using this tool.

2) SEMrush Keyword Tool – This one is not free but it is great at finding both long-tail and exact keywords relevant to your business. They have a very nice interface and also show search volume for each keyword. This is especially useful when your product or service has competition in the same market. For example, if you are selling organic bath soap you can find out which keywords are most closely related to "organic bath soap" and then enter them into Google Trends to get an idea of how many searches each keyword gets on average.

You really have to pay for it here, but that's ok! It's the best.

3) Ubersuggest – This is another free one that is pretty cool. Enter a keyword and you'll get hundreds of related phrases. If you are trying to find a specific niche or audience, this could be very helpful in finding out a variety of keyword phrases people are using to search on Google (if your website is relevant to that keyword).

4) Google Keyword Planner – This one is not free and you have to sign up for an account with AdWords Express but they have a nice interface for seeing all related keywords, their search volume and what the competition looks like. You can also get ideas from the top keywords here, even if you don't use AdWords.

How to Use These

Once you've found a lot of keyword phrases to target, it's time to do some on-page SEO and off-page SEO.

On-page SEO (or "on site" as it's sometimes called) is the process of making sure your website content is optimized to rank highly in search engines and ultimately get more organic traffic. This includes creating great content for your website, adding relevant keywords and ensuring everything is properly measured for analytics purposes. If you want more information about that kind of stuff, we have guides here: https://www.thewebsiteaudit.com/blog/ .

Off-page SEO (or "off site") is the process of making sure your website's backlinks are high quality and current. The best way to do this is by finding websites that are relevant to and linking to your website. We have guides on how to do this here: https://www.thewebsiteaudit.com/blog/ .

Tools to Use

We've already mentioned many great tools that can help you find relevant keywords and generate content around them, but here are a few others you should know about:

1) SEMrush Keyword Research Tool – This is another keyword research tool that is available for free. They offer an unlimited free trial so you can test it out before buying. It's not the best interface but they show search volume and it offers a number of advanced features such as: list building, keyword analysis, competitive analysis, backlink checking, etc. They also have in-depth analytics so you can see how your site is performing overall in terms of organic traffic and conversions.

2) Google Keyword Planner – This one is not free and you have to sign up for an AdWords account, but they offer a good amount of keyword suggestions. You can also see how many searches each keyword gets on average.

3) ScrapeBox – This tool is very similar to the Google Keyword Planner in the sense that they give you a list of keywords and their search volumes. However, they show how many searches each keyword gets in comparison to all other keywords and not just your competitors' websites (as the Google Keyword Planner does).

cONCLUSION

As you can see, this is an extremely important and profitable aspect of your business, so it's worth spending some time on.
