Stop Chasing Success And Let Success Find You
Don’t chase success. Don’t get caught up in a rat race. Just find peace and happiness in the things that make you content and content with the process of achieving your dreams because that is really all there is to do.
Put down the book or article, close your laptop now because success will find you when it finds you. You are going to find it without fail and I promise that your life will be enriched for the effortless pursuit of happiness even more than if chasing after success were easy to achieve.
Think about it. Where will the most value be added in your life? How much more time and energy will you have for your family and loved ones? It’s not worth it–that pursuit of success.
Success has some great qualities to it: It is exciting, fun, rewarding, motivating, fulfilling and often brings in a lot of money. All of those things are very useful if used correctly. But when they are used incorrectly they become destructive, because they pull you away from what really matters most in this world: being a human being who experiences life like everyone else does.
When you chase after success, you lose sight of the things that make life worth living and hence you feel empty. You think that your life is incomplete and this causes an internal conflict which is something that many people experience. The only way to resolve this is to focus on what really makes most sense, to stop chasing success and let it find you. That will not be easy because when we start doing things in our life the easier ones are those we thought were impossible but along the way we found more and more challenging obstacles to overcome. It can be done because it can be done, but only with a little bit of patience will it happen without fail.
And the reason success will find you is because it’s a universal law that cannot be altered. It does not choose who will receive it, but it has to find everyone at some point in their life. The problem is that our mind can never understand how this works so easily, so we convince ourselves that our goal has a price and we need to pay for it with some action on our part. But to make things simple, just begin by thinking of your goal as something that will be there in your life without any action from your end.
Imagine success finding you while you are sleeping or while you are working hard at something else that was easy for you to do. That will make it easy for you, right? And then once success starts finding you, you will have to stop chasing it because it will be there without fail and you will see how all of your goals will come true in a satisfying way.
Therefore, I’d like to advise anyone who wants to achieve their goals in life that they need to stop chasing after them and just let them find them. If you do this, you will find peace and happiness in your life. Never forget to be grateful for whatever success does because it’s simply what we deserve after putting in the extra effort needed to make it happen, but I have found that it becomes irritating when people chase success.
So if anything, I’d just like to share my own story about a time where I did chase after success and how eventually it got tired of chasing after me. Yes, it got tired of chasing after me and that made all the difference in the world.
The first time I remember noticing the issue with chasing after success was when I was in high school. It had been a very difficult year for me but I knew that it would be all worth it when I became successful in the future. So I decided to do what seems to be the easiest thing, to put my nose down and work hard like a slave: working every day after school until late at night.
Although I would spend my evenings working non-stop, sometimes I would go home with empty hands: no money because every penny that came in went directly into my studies and they didn’t come out as promised. I just kept working hard and putting in more effort to reach success.
But the expectations I had for myself were very high and I knew that only a little more work would get me where I wanted to be, so I kept going. After a while, however, things stopped improving: the income was still negligible, the work was still too hard and the payoff wasn’t coming. But I didn’t give up because giving up is not an option if you are chasing after success. So I kept doing what seemed right at the time, but in reality it didn’t make any sense because eventually we have to put things into perspective and see things as they are.
At the end of my high school years, I had gotten my first job and it was just what I needed to get out of the way. It was only a paper route but it gave me a little bit of money which meant that I didn’t have to work as hard as before. At this point, however, if anything I should have started putting in more effort since I knew that success would come quickly once some effort was put into it.
To be honest, my motivation burned out at this point because of all the hard work that didn’t pay off as planned. The income wasn’t enough to pay for a car or even rent an apartment so nothing really changed in my life. The next year I ended up getting a job in a restaurant because it seemed like the easiest thing to do at this point. But then a new possibility arose into the picture and I got another job as a cashier at another school. This was supposed to make things much easier for me for once, but the result was very disappointing: there were always problems with getting paid and it was just very stressful trying to get by.
Although this new job made things harder for me, it also made me realize that my life was falling apart because having time is one of the most valuable things in this world.
Conclusion: The Key To Finding Success
After surviving the years of betrayal and despair I had experienced by my own hand, I found that there are two ways to find success. It’s either by putting in the extra effort required to make something happen or by letting it find you naturally, without wasting any time.
By taking on new challenges, we can distract ourselves from how things really are by hoping that everything will work out just fine. Certainly they will eventually, but usually the problems we encounter along the way can destroy our motivation which is something that makes it impossible for us to continue working hard towards our goals.
When you focus on your goals consistently and handle all situations with a cool head, they will come true.
