Why party hats are great news for partygoers
Did you know that party hats are the most popular item sold to New Year's Eve revelers? Well now you do, and knowing is half the battle.
You might be wondering why they're so popular! If this is your first rodeo with a party hat, then congratulations on being one of the chosen few. Party hats are awesome — they make it so much easier to see a countdown in style. And there's no way any of that old stale cheese crackers can sneak up on you because of your headgear. Seriously, give these things a try and thank us later! The world has never been more safe for partying than it will be tonight because of them.
But what if you don't have a party hat? We say you should get one. And if you can't do that, because you don't know where to find one or they're sold out or something, then consider this your lucky day! Because we've got some inexpensive DIY suggestions for party hats!
Hate to point it out but the countdown has started and there's no turning back at this point. The only thing you can do is nail the rest of your resolutions for next year and drink responsibly in honour of the past year you've had, from which most of your memories are erased due to all the vomiting. Just remember — your life won't last forever so live it up every single second that you can.
We're not saying you should blow all your money on a party hat, either! You can get them for as little as $2.99, and there are high-quality ones that go for a higher price — but the point is to just have fun, regardless of how much money you spend or don't spend on things related to having fun.
Whatever you decide to do at midnight tonight (right now in some parts of the world), we hope you have an amazing time. And if it's not amazing, then make it so! If something sucks, do your best to make it suck less. If three things suck, try to make one of them at least semi-okay. If nothing sucks, that's a good thing!
So just remember — party hats are awesome. Get one today and make the world safer for partying! Or at least you'll have a nice hat to wear for a few minutes between now and 1am when we're all going to be outside getting ready for the next year's New Year's.
