Buy Car Insurance Online-- A Few Tips To Get You Started

Recently, there has been a surge in the number of people who are looking to buy car insurance online. In fact, according to a recent study, at least one-third of all drivers have started shopping for their car insurance policies online.

If you're thinking about doing the same thing, here are some tips that can help set you up with an affordable and comprehensive policy.

Find Out How Much You Really Need

If you're thinking about taking a policy with a pre-negotiated price, it's important to find out how much coverage really costs. The good news is this type of plan is very competitive. For example, one of the bigger online car insurance companies has been able to secure coverage for most drivers at nearly half the cost of primary coverage in a traditional agent-based agency. This means that you can save even more money by shopping on your own instead of paying an agent at least 10 percent markup of the best quote you get.

Do Your Homework

Remember that the best car insurance companies are those that offer a fair and consistent policy, which can be a challenge for inexperienced consumers. So don't settle just because your agent suggests this is the right way to go. Do your homework and find out what the most competitive rates really cost before you sign on with an agent. Also, make sure you check out what discount these programs give for good driving habits. Keep in mind that if you have no claims, your discount will look higher.

Look for Online Discounts

As more people are shopping for their car insurance online, it's important to take advantage of the discount deals available through these sites. The discounts vary, but you can expect to save anywhere from a few dollars a month for the first year to up to 10 percent off your premium. Some sites offer even lower discounts and special offers if you enroll in special programs that add on liability coverage or other forms of coverage. Also, many companies offer low interest rates if you pay your bill in full each month as well.

Shop Around Online

The best way to get the lowest prices is to shop around online. There are several websites that offer discounts to car insurance companies, which can save you even more money. To get the best deals, you should check out the prices of car insurance quotes from various companies at least four to six different sites and compare the costs. You should also make sure that the company's claims rate as well as its customer service reputation are satisfactory.

Check Your Rates At Least Once a Month

You should always monitor your own rates so that you can catch any changes in them before they go up. Knowing what is going on with your policy allows you to make necessary changes in your coverage. This will help keep your premiums down and allow you to avoid paying extra when it comes time for renewal.

It's important to keep in mind that you can find affordable and comprehensive car insurance. However, there are some tips that you should know so that you don't end up with a policy than doesn't protect your interests and allows your rates to go up unnecessarily. You can always shop for quotes at different sites and compare prices until you find the one that meets your needs and helps you save on car insurance.

Title: Formula 1 race cars are able to drive over 200 mph on public roads!
This is the same formula that I used in my last article, "The Speed of a Formula 1 Car. "
I got an email from an individual who did not like my article.
It made him a believer (that F1 cars are fast), and he was kind enough to thank me for it. Wow! I'm not sure if he's a driver or a fan of the sport, but he did give some feedback that I thought you would all find interesting. In his essay, this person said: "The fastest F1 cars can go about 300 km/h on the straightaway. On real streets (like the ones used in your video), they'll do about 160 to 180 km/h, tops."
That was all I needed to hear. It's nice to hear that my video (which I did not see) helped this person realize that formula 1 cars are indeed fast, and a lot faster than you think.
Now, all of you have heard the rumors saying that F1 cars are not fast on real streets.
I hope this will clear up the confusion for everyone. The truth is, formula 1 cars are fast on real streets because they are well built and aerodynamic enough to go a lot faster than 160 km/h (100 mph). The speed limit of all public roads in North America is 100 mph (160 km/h). You do not need to be going any faster than that on a public street to get into trouble with the law enforcement authorities.
I'm sure that you can all appreciate this next fact. The next time you hear someone say that F1 cars are not fast on real streets, you can show them this page!
Cars need a big straightaway to reach 200 mph.
On a public highway, a straightaway of over 10 miles (16 km) is mainly for drag racing.
As I have said before, to attain 200 mph (320 km/h), an F1 car needs at least 2-miles (3-4 km) of flat track.
Once again, at the end of the day, this is just a fun fact that I thought would interest everyone.
What's your theory on why F1 cars are so fast on real streets,
and not just drag racing?
- D.C. (who prefers to remain anonymous)
Here are the facts:
F1 cars are fast because they have supercars with turbocharged engines, super-lightweight bodies and aero kits that work together to produce tons of downforce (force that deflects air downward). When going 200 mph these aerodynamic enhancements push the cars forward and lift them off the ground.

Conclusion: Formula 1 cars are fast on public roads, and there is no doubt about it.
It has been said by many that F1 cars are not safe. I would like to say that this is not true. Formula 1 cars are immensely safe because they operate at such high speeds, and have so much downforce (air force) that there is no way for the car to spin out of control when it goes 200 mph down the straightaways on public highways. To keep F1 drivers from getting hurt, formula 1 driver training schools ensure that their drivers learn how to handle their vehicles at high speeds, how to react quickly in emergency situations and the importance of safety first at all times.
