How Alan's Website Could Easily Make More Money
It’s no secret that the Internet is a goldmine. There are thousands of pages with mountains of information, and countless ways to profit from it. It’s time for Alan to get in on the ground floor!
In this post, we’ll show you 10 different ways that Alan can make more money by utilizing his website and some other online tools.
But first, let’s take a look at the current methods Alan is using to make money from his website:
1. Adsense: These ads generated $2.25 in revenue, however they might be annoying visitors and hurting overall traffic.
2. Google Product Ads: Alan has set up some banner ads with Google, but they haven’t generated any revenue yet. The top placement on this page has no clickthroughs at all!
3. Amazon Associates: Alan is earning money from these links, but it probably isn’t enough to support his site and lifestyle (ahem).
4. Email List/Newsletters: Alan has an opt-in box on the top right of every page, and he’s emailing anyone who signs up. He’s received only 24 signups so far, but they could make him a lot more money than what he is currently making.
5. Alan’s Free eBook: He created an ebook to give away for free, and it could easily be turned into a lead generation tool that generates a lot more revenue from his site.
6. Selling His Own Services: There are multiple opportunities for Alan to sell services on his website. He could sell his own tools, sell his services as a consultant, or even get paid to run other people’s ads.
7. Amazon Affiliate Program: Alan is already earning money from Amazon through links on his site. He should sign up for the affiliate program and make more money from any sales that are generated by the links on his website.
8. Selling Other People’s Products: All of the products Alan is referencing on his site could be turned into affiliate programs that earnAlan a commission every time they are purchased.
9. Selling Downloads: Alan could easily turn most of his popular content on his site into downloadable eBooks and sell them. The more traffic he gets to his site, the more money he’ll make.
10. Selling Physical Products: If Alan starts selling physical products, such as DVD setsthen all of the traffic on his website could be driven to these sales!
There are a TON of methods Alan can use to make money from his website and we’ve only discussed 10 of them here! Now that you have an idea of everything that is possible, let’s discuss each method in further detail:
1. Adsense: These ads generated $2.25 in revenue, however they might be annoying visitors and hurting overall traffic.
So far, Alan has been making about $2.25 per month from his Adsense ads. But these ads have the potential to reduce his overall income by even MORE if they are annoying his visitors and reducing their time on his site.
So, what can he do?
Alan can easily re-evaluate how he places the Adsense ads on his website to determine which ones will cause the least amount of problems. He could also consider turning off Adsense altogether since it is not generating any revenue yet (but he could use it for testing).
2. Google Product Ads: Alan has set up some banner ads with Google, but they haven’t generated any revenue yet. The top placement on this page has no clickthroughs at all!
Alan is already trying to monetize his site with Google Adsense, but he could be doing so much more.
He is making $0 from the above ad because it’s below the fold. But he could easily modify the ad to make it a leaderboard at the top of the page, and it would be generating $10+ per day!
3. Amazon Associates: Alan is earning money from these links, but it probably isn’t enough to support his site and lifestyle (ahem).
As you can see, Alan is currently making an average of $1.75 per month from his Amazon links. This is basically nothing! He should definitely consider getting a better deal with Amazon if he wants their ads to generate any significant income for him.
4. Email List/Newsletters: Alan has an opt-in box on the top right of every page, and he’s emailing anyone who signs up. He’s received only 24 signups so far, but they could make him a lot more money than what he is currently making.
Alan is already using his blog to send out affiliate offers, but he could easily switch to his email list and start sending out more emails every day.
Alan could also use these email subscribers as another method of driving traffic to his website. He could make a high-quality post that appeals to the interests of his list subscribers, and then link back to his site using those links (as long as he doesn’t endorse competitor products).
5. Alan’s Free eBook: He created an ebook to give away for free, and it could easily be turned into a lead generation tool that generates a lot more revenue from his site.
Alan was giving away his ebook for free, but he could easily sell the book for $8+ per copy and make a lot more money.
Alan’s ebook is great for driving traffic to his site and generating sales, but it can be so much more!
He could easily convert the same content into an online video course that costs $25 or a video series that costs $97! Or even a written course/ebook/workbook that costs anywhere from $97 – $297!
6. Selling His Own Services: There are multiple opportunities for Alan to sell services on his website. He could sell his own tools, sell his services as a consultant, or even get paid to run other people’s ads.
Conclusion: How To Make Money From Your Website + Free Traffic Source
Alan didn’t really have a clear direction of where he wanted to take his website, but if he changes his focus to generating income from the site, he could make some serious money!
