Read Your Way To Online Success – How E-Books Can Make You Wealthy

Do you want to know the secrets of making money on the internet? Then, just read a book! According to a recent article from The New York Times, reading has been scientifically proven to increase your chances of success on the internet. The article goes on to say that people who read regularly are more successful than those who don’t.

What I’m trying to say is that e-books can be an effective tool for increasing your knowledge and helping you learn how to sell what you know. They also enhance your understanding of what potential customers and buyers might need and want.

After reading my top ebook, I’ll show you how to publish your own e-book and how to sell it for profit.

How And Why I Wrote This Ebook

I’ve always been an avid reader, and read everything from the classics to John Grisham’s latest legal thriller. This early exposure to reading started a lifelong love of books and literature.

Like many people, I enjoy learning, especially when it comes to mastering some new skill or improving my knowledge in a certain area. A few years ago, I decided that I wanted to learn more about selling products on the internet. However, in order for me to learn effectively, there had to be some element of “fun” that kept me engaged and interested in the material.

I decided that writing a book to learn how to sell would be a worthwhile endeavor. It was an effective method of consolidating all of the information I had discovered into one convenient package. The next step was figuring out what I wanted to write about and how I was going to make money from my e-book.

I first started off with the book’s focus: “The Art Of E-Book Writing”… or something like that. This is where I would gather all of my knowledge, ideas, and advice related to e-book writing. However, after researching the topic, I realized that there were other people that had already published similar e-books. I decided to focus on a different aspect of e-book writing.

After deciding what to write about, I started working on finding a publisher. The first book publisher that accepted my book for publication was CreateSpace. They are an Amazon owned company that allows you to upload your manuscript directly onto its platform and publish it. According to their site, they have a “simple publishing process” where you can download the free software and use it to publish your book quickly and easily with minimum effort on your part. This was perfect for my needs as I could maintain control of my own work without having to deal with any third-party publishers.

The next part of the process was figuring out how I was going to sell the book. The first thing I did was to check out what other e-books were doing in order to make money. There are several options available, but these are the main ones:

1) E-book resell rights (EBR): You sell all rights to your e-book, which means that you no longer have any control over it and cannot publish it anywhere else. Most sites will offer around 70% of every sale as long as you price your book at $5 or more. You could also offer it for free or for a lower price if you like, but that may limit your sales.

2) E-book affiliate marketing: In this case, you get paid a small commission every time somebody purchases your e-book through a link on your website. This is doable but requires an up-front investment of money to purchase the books. You need to decide whether this method will be profitable enough to make it worth the risk.

3) Selling hard copies via Print On Demand (POD). With this model, you can create an e-book and have it printed and shipped right away when someone places an order. The major benefit of POD is that you don’t need to store any inventory and can sell as many copies as people will buy. The main disadvantage is that you keep only a small percentage of every sale and it costs more money upfront. The turn-around time for production and shipping may be too long for some people.

4) Selling paper books via a third-party book printing service. You upload your book, pay approximately two cents per page in printing fees, and they ship out your books the same day they are ordered. You can also use their warehouse in order to send out your own orders.

5) Selling audio books via a third-party audio book recording service. You upload your book and have it recorded in mp3 format. Some sites may also allow you to record your own audio for your e-book. This is also a more expensive option in terms of the cost of the recording and editing, but the fees can also be less than with POD or other third-party services. Your profit will be higher as well, since you can sell the audio book in addition to the e-book.

6) Selling a box set of e-books. If you’re able to roll your books into a single e-book and offer it for free or for a low cost, this might be a good option for you. Sometimes there is room for several books in an “evergreen” niche, especially if they are all related. The main benefit of this method is that you can sell the same (or multiple) e-books over and over again without having to put any further effort into writing or publishing them. The downside, of course, is that you’re offering all of the books up for free or for a very low price.

7) Selling e-books in other formats. Although it might be more work to convert a book from one format to another, this can also be an effective way to sell and profit from your e-book. For example, you could create a podcast series as an audio book or create a video series and sell that as an online training course. The advantage of this method is that you can create additional products based on your original e-book and get even more sales with less effort.

Once I decided how I was going to sell my new book, I got started on writing it.

Conclusion

I’ll save you the suspense and let you know that I never finished writing my book. I got about 20 chapters in, then abandoned it for some reason. I guess that I just didn’t like the format or style of writing and decided to abandon it.

Fortunately, I hadn’t put everything into it yet. So, when I finished with part one, which was about half of my book, I decided to publish it via Amazon as an e-book for $4.95 (my upper limit). It wasn’t super profitable like selling e-books on sites like Clickbank or Commission Junction where you get $75+ per sale with a decent conversion rate from those sales.
