Bidding directories make link building much faster
Building links to your website can seem like an imposing task. But with so many tools and strategies out there, it doesn't need to be! One way that you can find quick success with your link building is by using bidding directories. These sites offer a range of options on things like cost, for example: "pay per click" or "pay per lead". What's more, these sites often offer a variety of ad formats: banner ads, text-formatted links or sponsored posts. What all this means is that you're able to find the best tool for the job at the best price.
What's more, most directory sites have intuitive interfaces and short signup processes. The extra effort you'll invest setting up your campaigns pales in comparison to the time you'll save from managing your list of potential link prospects yourself. Here's a breakdown of what to look for when choosing a directory site:
Cost: Good directories should have clearly defined pricing structures. They should also offer a variety of options and not be overly complicated. Generally, lower cost per link is better because it allows you to diversify your link building efforts over a wider range of sites and anchor texts.
Post Types: Make sure that the site offers "sponsored posts" or other custom post types. Otherwise, you'll probably have to settle for simple text links.
Flexibility: You should be able to create multiple campaigns, with each containing multiple keyword lists. This will let you completely customize your approach and not be limited to a set of one-size-fits-all templates.
Link Options: Links are the lifeblood of link building. Make sure that you can get a wide range of anchor text choices and campaign types (e.g., contextual, branded, dofollow/nofollow).
Analytics: Having insight into what's working and what's not is crucial for effective link building. You should be able to track everything from clicks, to CPCs, and click-through rates – all the way to conversion rates.
Forum: Finally, make sure that the directory site has an active forum community. It will allow you to get support on a wide range of topics and enhance your overall knowledge of how best to use these sites – both online and offline.
If one of these directories doesn't suit your needs or if you have questions about any others, Tableau has compiled a list of our favorite resources here .
