As the book progresses, you learn more about that character and slowly appreciate their perspective and why they are that way.

One of the best things about reading is that it can take you to places you've never been before and introduce you to lifestyles that were previously alien to you. You get a glimpse of someone else's life and lifestyles- how they overcome challenges, what their ambitions are, their struggles... and then you realize how your own life may have some similar issues.
Reading can also save you a lot of money too! You can learn how to do things on your own rather than going to expensive lessons or hiring someone who charges an exorbitant amount of money because most self-help books are always cheaper than paying a professional.
