Related Link: Read the full article... I don't see any factors that would make it hard to get a policy with an A rated company . Please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I don't see any required payment term for the policyholder (i.e., life insurance cash values are unlimited ). I'm sure there are some fees for the company itself (e.g., MIFID , etc.). However, from a consumer perspective, these fees would be included in the total cost and so should not be considered a cost of insurance. A quick google search indicates that there is a 10% fee for an application or quote ($50 when applying online). Seems to me that if an application is $40, and the company charges a 10% fee ($4.10), then your premium would be $43.10 per year. As a consumer, it's important to understand these fees so that you can compare costs from different companies . I think most people would find it irritating if the company charged $25 per years for a policy , but the same company did not charge any fees ... but at least they don't hide them!

Conclusion: It's hard to believe that there is a policy out there that can offer the flexibility of unlimited life insurance cash value . This is surprising, since most insurers do not want to give their clients too much flexibility because they want to limit the death benefit (and the cost) of such policies. From looking at the policy and its costs , it seems like MetLifeOne managed to find a way to limit premiums while offering a flexible product . This means you get unlimited coverage for a low fee... which seems like an extremely competitive product!
I'm trying to think of reasons why you would not buy this type of policy.
